On Parenthood and Responsibilities

Becoming a parent to another human being, who starts off as an infant-completely incapable of caring for themselves - makes you a hundred percent responsible for their lives. You have to literally teach them life from scratch, and the best way to do is which utmost patience and pure love. You have to endure and manage their development by tending to their needs and paving a good path for them as they grow.

Being a parent means you are completely for one or more little angels who are completely helpless and rely on your for everything. You pour into them, fight to love for them and to protect them; until they grow to a reasonable level of independence. Must be liberating to get to that point, and it is something to be proud of, too. Though, there is really no end to a parent’s love and commitment to their children.

The good thing about this terrific and really important program is that you get to choose whether it is something you want to undertake or not. Despite it being mainstream, I believe there are many other ways to do life for people who do not want go through the path of starting a family. And that should be okay, I do not get the resistance to people who do not want to have children. Mind you, some have this card dealt to them naturally, who says they can’t live a fulfilling life?

We are all heroes in our stories, and we owe it to life to paint a wholesome and interesting picture, and we cannot do that without embracing our differences, and living life on our own terms while being graceful to the next person. Being a parent is so selfless and quite frankly a heroic thing to do especially when it is done right. But should we not be open to the many different ways we can contribute to the world, without anyone feeling morally superior. Just saying.
