Hello friends, hope you're doing well.
One of the basic teachings of entrepreneurial success I've heard is start with what you have.

Today I found the story of an African young man that perfectly suits the meaning of the statement, "start with what you have", and I want to share it with you.
The young man is about 21yrs old and he is from Cameroon (a country experiencing civil war).
His name is Nkwain Kennedy Lamiress with a passion for Basketball. He has a dream to play in the NBA like LeBron James but he leaves in poverty and unfavourable environment, he has learnd to start with what he has.
Nkwain Kennedy Lamiress trains with no coach. He struggles all alone to train himself on basketball.
He makes all his training gears from materials he collects from his immediate environment, and some from household items.
Many times he improvise by using stripes cut from tire tubes as springs. He uses old vehicle tyres as weights.
Many times he fills empty water bottles picked from the bin, he fills them with water and used them as weights when he practices Pushups.

As if that is not enough of an obstacle, Nkwain Kennedy Lamiress, on many instances, will lie down flat to avoid bullets from military shootout with guerrillas/bandits as shown in the video above posted on January 8 2021 on his YouTube channel.
He never stops practising and playing basketball because he says, basketball keeps him going.
He says he wants to inspire young boys in similar situations as his to start with what they have and to never give up on their dreams.
Starting with the little resources you have is necessary if you truly want to be successful in this life because,
- It helps to demonstrate and brings out the passion you have for your planned business.
- You will mistakes and easily learn from your mistakes without incurring huge losses.
- It will demonstrate your competence to handle more expensive resources to run the business in the eyes of investors/fund raisers.
What do you think about the statement, state with what you have in business and life in general? Let me know in the comment section below.
