Best cash withdrawal experience with ICICI Bank ATM

Today I had to withdraw a lot of money from my bank account. Tomorrow we have a family function and we need some cash in hand. I know I did some last-minute planning and couldn't withdraw the money from banks beforehand. I visited the Axis Bank ATM first thinking of making a withdrawal from that account but unfortunately, I had some issues with my card and couldn't withdraw funds from my Axis bank account. The ATM and the mobile application were also not very friendly.

The next option was to visit an ICICI bank ATM. I wanted to withdraw the money through the cashless method first. I tried doing that and looks like there was a limit set for that type of withdrawal. After that when I tried to do a withdrawal with my ATM card, the PIN had expired. I quickly reached out to the iMobile application and was able to reset my PIN instantly with the ATM card I had in my hand. This was pretty much instant and I'm glad that ICICI Bank offered that instant feature.

First of all, having a cash requirement at the last moment is not a good thing and I should have planned it long back but the second thing was to rely on just one bank for the cash withdrawal which is also a risk factor. But to my surprise, ICICI was the best and that's why I was able to withdraw up to 100000 Rs from my account within just one day. Usually, there will be restrictions and we cannot withdraw more than 20,000 or at least 40,000. I'm glad to see that I was able to withdraw more than that. One sad thing is that I had to do the transaction 5 times because the limit was only 20k at one instance.

I have had the best experience with ICICI bank in the past with some of the other services too but today I was very happy to use this service where I was able to flawlessly withdraw the money that I desired to withdraw. The other banks would have had 100s of restrictions in place and ultimately it would have been a nightmare to do it. Thankfully I chose the right bank and imagined if today's cash need was a dire emergency need and if I did not have any option. Even though today the need for cash has become very minimal, it is great to see options available that are satisfying.

That's the benefit of having accounts in multiple banks, when one doesn't deliver you can use the others. I'm sure this particular pleasant experience you've had with ICICI Bank will make you transact with them more often. Good customer service is one way for institutions to get customers, poor customer service chases away customers like Axis Bank did to you. Thanks for writing.

Aren't there POS machines where you're located?! Where I come from people don't even bother if ATM machines aren't working or have withdrawal limits , they just go to POS vendors to make withdrawals.
