AI plays a very important role in many aspects. Today every department in an IT company have started using AI in one way or the other. I was watching some videos on preparing a resume and I was trying to gather some tips from those videos. I have no intention to prepare any resume right now. I might have to do something next year but I got this as a suggestion video when I was watching something else in You tube.
The person who was talking in that video suggested to make use of Chat GPT to prepare our resume. I was curious and wanted to test how it worked. I don't want to share what questions I asked Chat GPT and what answers I got but I was amazed by the outcome. I did not expect Chat GPT to understand the hints that I was giving about myself and convert that to an excellent Resume.
I was curious to see if it can also understand and make some edits. I asked GPT to provide me a detailed resume with all the details I provided and it gave me a huge write up and after that I wanted to ask and get one resume that can be just one page. All the information previous given was compressed and brought to just one single page. It was very impressive.
One thing that I liked the most was that. If I say that I have a specific skill set, Chat GPT would gather some additional points on that particular skill set and adds that to explain my skill set. It additionally adds up what could be the potential stand out on that particular skill set which I might not thought off if I had to sit and prepare my resume manually. This is one amazing experience that I had with that.
The next impressive thing that I was able to do was to interact with Chat GPT to ask for suggestion by throwing my thoughts. I didn't even have a feeling that I was talking to a robot but instead the outcome of the brainstorming was very good. Ultimately for someone who is sitting to prepare something but have no idea, Chat GPT can give initial suggestions and you can continue interacting with the bot to improvise the suggestion and make it even better.
Resume preparation
Now that coming back to what I was planning to write in this article. I was happy with how Chat GPT is able to create the resumes. For freshers who are very much confused as to how they can create their first resume, ideas can be gathered with the help of Chat GPT and resume preparation can be done. The base template can be created and whenever we have a new skill or a new update to be made, we can add it on top of what was prepared and given to us by Chat GPT.
Anybody who thinks that their resumes are not up to the mark can give this a try. But the important thing is that we have to tell all the information about us for Chat GPT to generate the text accordingly.
