Building sustainable financial life: Being discreet.

One of the mistakes we humans make is exposing our financial capability to the world. It is not advisable to trust everyone you come in contact with in the journey of your life because not everyone you call friends will be there when you needed them and once they know your worth they will turn their backs on you.

Being discreet about your financial life isn't pride, it is a form of avoiding unnecessary risks and staying out of debt. Operating a secret account to which only you have access and probably a next of kin whom you trust in case of uncertainties like a sickness.

My grandma happened to be a very disciplined woman when it comes to money therefore I learned to be discreet about my finances from her. She is uneducated but understands the importance of savings, investment, and budgeting more than some educated people. I am closer to her than my siblings because I happened to be the first child of my parents, for this reason, she made some of her secrets and money hideout known to me, and whenever she needed money she always send me.

Building a sustainable financial life is learning never to share all about your money with people around you because the reason for operating a secret account is to have access to it just in case of unforeseen circumstances. Humans take advantage of someone once they know the financial status of such a person, at that point they will want to satisfy their lustful desires to defraud such an individual. Once you are unable to provide for their needs and they didn't know your financial worth, they tag you as a bad person.

People are only with you because of what you can offer not minding if it's convenient for you or not. They expect you to give out your hard-earned money just to show you care about them but once you couldn't give what they ask, you become their enemy. Rendering help to whoever needs it isn't a sin but while doing so, remember to be discreet about it.

Never show people your financial worth, choose someone you can trust wholeheartedly. Because my grandma made me a trusted ally that gave my father reasons to trust me with his finances both offline and online.

As I said earlier, choose someone you can trust to know about your hidden assets because of uncertainties. No one can predict what will happen in the next minute, this is why you need an assistant who can handle your finances in the right manner if you aren't available.
