We are in the first day of 2025 - 1st of January 2025 - and with that comes the Hive Power Up Day event on the Hive blockchain where all the users shows the support in this ecosystem by staking Hive into Hive Power. And while I was not consistent in the past year in terms of participating to it, this year I am here from the first day. Will I be also for the other ones? I surely hope so as I feel a positive energy for the year to come, but in the same time I don't know where that will take us. Will we see a stronger bull run as everyone predicts? I surely hope so even if reality proved us that not always what's expected happens. This is why I am preparing myself mentally for any possibility and don't take anything for granted or as expected to be. I don't depend on crypto (yet), so I can afford thinking this way about it. But let's go down to business and see what power up I will be doing today.
At the moment my Hive Power balance is standing at 46,059.003 HP. I hustled a lot lately and succeed to get my hands on 106.587 Hive in liquid form. And I will be using the entire amount of it for staking. By doing this I have succeeded to push my Hive Power to 46,165.590 HP. I think this is a healthy power up which could give the tone for the entire year.
Strategy ahead
While I will continue to accumulate Hive and stake it until its price will start proving itself, I will be waiting to see also what opportunities might be laid ahead. If Hive will not surpass $0.50 probably I will not do any moves, but if it starts appreciating after this threshold probably I will do some moves on the market. Also there is the matter that if I will take some profits along the way, if I will exchange it for FIAT or for some stablecoins. Fiat is good if I wanted to withdraw money, but for that to happen probably I need HIVE to surpass $1 and move further. Otherwise I was thinking to exchange it for stablecoins.
Optimizing routes
Where will I get the best price for Hive in terms of stablecoins? Probably on Binance by exchanging Hive to USDT or USDC as on the Internal Market the price is delayed and usually there is a 5%-10% difference which isn't a good deal. In the same time I like the stability of HBD and I still find the 15% APR a good one. If I could exchange USDT/USDC to HBD that would be awesome but I don't know yet how to do that. I will need to see what's the best option for this, so if you have any ideas on this please free to leave them in the comments. But until that happens I will continue to accumulate Hive as much as possible. And as I don't like for my assets to stay stale, I will probably continue to power up and enjoy more curation rewards.
