From the outside

In recent months, I've been watching the crypto market from a "safe distance" and while I don't like it, it's enabled me to gain some perspective. I'm not as involved as I once was and while that's due to life circumstances, I've also seen how normies experience the market.

Conversations about bull and bear market are largely centered around sensationalized jargons peddled by the mainstream media. For normies like me, all we can see is a smoke screen of the usual hyperbolic rhetoric that surrounds the crypto industry.

When crypto is involved, it is always either the greatest thing since sliced bread or the worst thing since Satan. Its a constant bombardment of plots centered around recycled gists by the mainstream media.

Social media doesn't help either. For the most part, the trending crypto accounts are the ones that either still shitcoin ponzis or the ones that got pre-rich before everyone caught on.

So, for normies like me, all we can see is once again a smokescreen of information that hardly matters to us because most of it doesn't talk about the intrinsic value that these digital assets being to our lives.

Being cut off from the market allows me to focus on what's important and what I've realized is that only Hive matters to me. In everything, the only thing I genuinely miss is not having more hive stake and not earning from HBD savings.

Having stake in this community goes beyond investing for me. Now I understand that emotions shouldn't mix with investing but I feel a real connection to this community and that's why I'm working towards growing my stake in any possible way.

From the outside, its all sensationalism and the usual crap being peddled. Luckily for me, I see the crypto world through my naively crafted Hive lens. Maybe one day I'll get back to crypto but for now, Hive is all I can see.
