This is why I was temporarily banned from POSHING

Okay, the title might be a little clickbaity and I promise I did it for the lols but it's still technically true. No, the POSH project led by @acidyo didn't directly ban me or anything like that, it's actually Twitter that has a stick up their ass.

The reason I can't Posh for the next 6 days is because my Twitter account is locked and I've been sent to ghost mode or read-only mode, as they call it. It basically means that I'm not allowed to tweet, retweet or like tweets on Twitter.

In read-only mode, I'm only allowed to see what's going on but can't participate. This means you won't be seeing my posts on your Twitter timeline because I'm basically a ghost for the next couple of days.

This Twitter ban also means that I won't be able to share the link of my daily hive publications on Twitter. Invariably means that I won't be earning the Posh tokens that I usually earn from sharing the links and yes, that really sucks.

Why did I get banned?

The reason I got banned is quite funny when you think about it. Twitter somehow took one of the most harmless conversations in the world and made it seem offensive.

So, get this, one of the mods at Twitter saw a conversation between me and my literal best friend(best man at my wedding, no joke), and assumed I made a racial slur to him. I feel kind of silly typing what I said specifically, so here's a screenshot of our Whatsapp conversation after I got banned yesterday

The only backstory you need to know is that to us, "nigga" is basically like saying "bro". We're also Nigerians, and not necessarily connected to the American BLM version of the word, so we don't necessarily see it as a racial slur.

We just use the word casually between ourselves and obviously learned it from watching Hollywood movies. In fact, in Nigeria as a whole, most people don't necessarily see nigga as a racial slur, it's just in the same category with bro, friend, mister or something along those lines, so, yeah, nothing to read into it.

It's annoying that I get banned for something so trivial because this obviously affects my daily income but it's quite comical when you think about it. Now I can't earn POSH tokens daily and it's all because some busybody at Twitter decided to take matters into their own hands.

The Twitter mods will probably be giving themselves a pat on the back for a job well done but in reality, they've just interfered with something that doesn't concern them. I get that it's over some trivial shit but isn't it amazing how hard they're working to control the things we can and can't say?

Stacking POSH

Not being able to earn POSH daily sucks but this means I'll just be going into the POSH market to pick up a couple of dollars worth of the token. I'm poor right now but considering how cheap the token is, I could grab a few here and there.

Instead of crying over it, I guess I'll just look at things in a positive light. This gives me an opportunity to add a bit more POSH tokens to my collection and own a bit more claim in this developing project.

I've not been keeping up with the development and activity surrounding the POSH project but like I said on numerous occasions, I invest in the brains and not just the numbers. OCD is a solid project with good leadership and POSH is one of their side projects.

I like to know that I put a few dollars into the POSH project and contributed towards the cause by holding my tokens. So, yeah, I can't earn POSH from sharing on Twitter but I'll still be adding to my POSH collection.

Those mods are probably working overtime, as a good chunk of the staff were let go. Probably just trying to fill a quota?

I still need to connect my account, and get busy on Twitter...

This post has been manually curated by the VYB curation project

Thanks. Yeah they're probably doing that

This is quite funny

I know right? It's so dumb

You have to be really careful next time because that word is really powerful and considered racial. even though it makes sense as both of you are Nigerian.

That's the thing, the mods were just being busybodies. It was a private conversation between two people. They had no right

Oh so Elon hate of speech decreased on Twitter theory is working Like this.... Well, sorry to hear about account.

I believe You'll Get back on where your account was very soon.

Yeah it's going to take about a week

There are worse things than racist comments! What's more, saying it over the networks in a conversation between two people is just silly.
In Venezuela, men sometimes say words to each other that are considered obscene, as a greeting between them. It all depends on the context and intonation, and that can't be seen in a social network where you just write.
But the good thing is that you are taking the positive side of it.
From now on, you will have to consider your friend a blond guy, at least on twitter... haha.

This summarise the situation perfectly 😆
