With the new year here and Hive getting a lot of buzz recently including a major futures contract update that is seeming massive amounts of usage I wanted to share the top 3 things I love doing DAILY on the hive blockchain after being here for over 7 years.
Hive has a lot going for it. With layer two tokens, defi, gaming, blogging, threads and more it's really an all inclusive blockchain for things to do. You'd easily find things to do on this blockchain all day long and the best part about it all you'll get rewarded for that time you spend on it!

Blogging and Building Connections
Hive was founded on blogging as a social platform 7 years ago and it did very well in doing just that. However over the years a lot has changed in the social media landscape.
While articles still hope a powerful method to drive traffic and build information and community it's one of the slowest methods. And like a powerful blockchain it was morphed into what we have today.
Hive now offers methods of social interaction via threads/x/twitter and also blogging which is providing unique ways for people to build new connections with each other like never before. On top of that hive also has a streaming platform and a video platform with the ability to share shorts!
Gaming
One of the core aspects I use the most for Hive is gaming. I got started in gaming around here years back when Splinterlands launched into Alpha and got even more involved during the beta phase. To this day I still take an active part in playing, voting and building my NFT deck. I'd have to say it's one of the best games that honestly has me hooked and with land 1.75 coming out in a few weeks I'm sure things will start to heart up!
Feeless Blockchain
Now the reason why I can do all of this and not worry is because of the way the Hive blockchain is built. It's pretty unique in that by holding hive staked (which does earn you curation rewards and general APR of around 10%) you also don't have to pay any fees!
That's right! No pesky fees for everything you try to do in a game, blog, thread etc. Few blockchains do this and make work on fees and burning their emissions from some of those fees. It can get pretty tiresome to pay $0.01 - $20 per transaction trust me!
So there you have it my top 3 things I do on the HIVE blockchain daily to not only enjoy it and have fun but also to build revenue and income. Over the years this is the only social platform I know of that's actully built something real, that works and that really does pay out. Simply put nothing else compares to it.
