The Crypto World Is Wild

in #hive-1679222 months ago

Todays article is a bit more on the relaxing side of things being that it's a beautiful Saturday out there. Today I want to just go over some headlines and just how wild the crypto world still is in terms of things that go one from the good to the bad these are things that caught my eye.

MicroStrategy

It's wild that this company continues to stack so much bitcoin. In fact they just added another 18,300 bitcoin and currently hold over 14 billion dollars worth of bitcoin.

That just honestly blows my mind because most people can't even get themselves to 1 bitcoin (which personally I recommend doing but you do you).

This is yet another massive increase putting microstrategy at a whopping 244,000 bitcoin! That's just nuts when you think about it as only 21 million total bitcoin will ever be mined and it's suspected that at least 1 million have gone missing if not more.

The SEC

Ah the SEC with their constant attacks it never ends. Instead of doing what they should be doing and protecting investors they instead just sue everyone and only those with enough money get to battle it out in court and win legit every freakin time while those with lesser funds end up having to pay the fees.

The SEC just issued a filing in which it was stated it "regrets any confusion" and that confusion was if a crypto was a security or not.

You know when they for the last four years went WAY out of their way to attack crypto and say it was a security only to find out in a court room that they were totally wrong.

Now their attacks are vs NFTs and I'm sure they are going to lose that one as well. To me and many will agree is that the SEC needs to be dissolved or totally restructured. It's become a wasteful pointless arm of the government like many older systems have become.

Sam Bankman-Fried

Ah a name I didn't think I would ever hear again nor want to. Luckly for me I didn't put a single penny into any of what he did but I know many did. I think what erks me the most though is just how much damage this did to the crypto world because for some reason people don't understand that it's not crypto that's bad it's people attempting to do shady things with it that's bad.

Sam is just 6 months into his 25 year prison sentence and has now appealed his fraud conviction requesting a new trial.

Just goes to show ya if you got money you can pretty much do whatever. I'm sure this 25 year sentence will be cut in half if not more.

I'll let MSTR have all the Bitcoin they want. They like being tracked and traced and Saylor is a big friend to the bankers. I've had at least 1 BTC at some point in time over the last 6 years of being in the space, but, it doesn't work for me. If I am going to hold something and just watch price fluctuations, I would rather have Monero and be untraceable. I would rather have assets that work for me. The only way BTC works for me is if I trade it.

I agree, the SEC needs to go, along with the rest of the corrupt 3 and 4 letter agencies. They are all a waste of taxes, which shows even more that taxation is pure theft.

And as for Sam... Well... FUCK SAM! I hope he rots. Him and his little ugly ass girlfriend were the main cause of the LUNA/UST collapse, which is what I lost my ass in when I was working for Cosmos validators, so I hope he drops the soap everyday, lol. And from my understanding, he gets time off for every year of good behavior and is only looking at around 12-15 years if he keeps to himself and doesn't get into any trouble.
