I've been on hive since pretty much the day it started. To me at the time it was a flash back to the early 2000's when article marketing was a big thing and plastering up articles with affiliate links was all the rage. Until Google stepped in and slapped all of these platforms down.
Since then however Hive has developed into more from the likes of platforms like @3speak and @leofinance which has brought video and x style threads to the platform. I remember the massive amount of push back from hive overall that if it wasn't a article then it shouldn't exist lol That's how old mentality will destroy a blockchain but luckily we pushed forward.
All of this has in my opinion set up hive to be a leaders in the social marketing aspect of the blockchain but for some reason we as a community have still not gotten behind it as much as we should be in terms of development and promotion.
Trust me I'm always looking out for other Social platforms that are web3 and generate revenue which hive is primed for!
So far I've tried many including Bulb, Torum, Diamond (In which the founder is now under SEC investigation and I believe in custody), Tagled and many MANY others. But none compared to the value that can be generated with Hive and that's something we should tap into in more ways then one.
For example Hive should seriously consider if not the layer two applications running on top of it to generate revenue themselves in the form of ads, upgrades etc. This revenue then flows back to support the operating costs of the platform but also to reinforce their own token.
There is ZERO reason why InLeo or 3Speak should not be running ads including if they are about to launch a solid LeoShorts video platform that would be the likes of TikTok etc. If done right it would simply BLOW the token and hive to all new levels. Money talks and when people see the values of 3speak tokens, $LEO and $HIVE move they are going to want to be a part of it and check it out.
That would then further fuel the revenue being generated overall and is a powerful way to really start to scale hive and really support people on hive instead of simply printing it out of thin air at the moment.
The other main reason why this needs to happen is because it's a feeless system. Without fees there's no push back on the price to remain at elevated levels and it's why we have only seen these token prices for the most part fall even though the overall markets have been trending upwards for the last year and a half.
