With every bull run comes focused sectors that often get the biggest boom. In the case of 2017 it was layer 2 tokens and in 2020 it was NFTs and Defi. But what sectors look promising for this bull run?
Let's have a look...
AI and AI Agents
AI is still a sector that is heavily focused on at the moment. While AI has been around for a LONG time it's only recently that it caught wind mainly from the introduction of ChatGPT in Jan. of 2023. Yep it's been pretty much two years already and idk about you but I haven't seen too much advancement in those two years. That's just be though. Honestly as a side note I think quantum computers was the sector that was overlooked. I wrote about this on Are Quantum Resistance Blockchain About To Boom?
That being said AI agents have been getting attention but they still lack main stream adoption. However if you can build one yourself to really do what you want then it can turn into a massive success. To be honest I'm waiting for the first AI agent to turn $10 into $10 million lol.
Information
Prediction markets have been around for a while and became popular with sports betting apps. Since then we saw a recent surge when it came election time and polymarkets ended up hitting the news.
But here's a big take away. These markets can often predict things or at least help us to understand things going on. Still to this day some of the most popular polymarkets are things like...
Feds decision in December?
What price will bitcoin hit in December?
Trumps picks will be confirmed?
Mainly politics and some other world events it's rather wild.
Development
It still takes talented developers and people with a vision of building something new and the markets want. A core focus of that now is shifting towards the front end, the user facing stuff so that's where UI and UX design and other applications are going to have it cut out for them. If you're platform isn't intuitive for new users it's simply not going to grow and will be replaced by more streamlined versions with quality UI/UX designs. For example a user should not have to go watch a 5 minute youtube video on how to use a platform and understand it. The UX should be able to teach at least the basics of it from start to finish and more in depth can then be learned via other methods.
Another cool feature we will most likely see from these blockchains and even larger scale developer companies will be something like app stories. We already see this a bit coming to life with places like GalaGames.
