As part of this weekly series I go through what's new on the hive blockchain through the eyes of the every day user. Things like prices, large front facing updates to applications, new applications and so forth. I like to do this to not only keep myself informed but hopefully help others. These updates are mainly only high level we will be going over the stuff a end user cares about. I'll also most likely toss in some of my own goals which help me keep on track and hopefully motivate some others to build and grow on hive as well.
First things first the wild crazy world of Hive's price action.
Once again hive pushes a really weird week starting out roughly the same but going through some rather big swings. That target price of mine of holding over $0.50 for at least a good month before I'm bullish on the token still has not happened and it seems like we are slowly slipping once again.
Be this from over spending at the DHF, people just cashing in or overall lack of growth very well could be all contributing factors to this platform not rallying and holding.
VSC still doesn't have a release date other then they are expected some time in Q1 that gives them roughly 60 days from now to launch to hit the target. I question however how much of a impact this will have on hive if there's not core development and applications to run on it at launch. My hopes are there is at least one or two examples of what can be run application/token wise at launch otherwise I don't see this thing replacing hive-engine or anything honestly.
Outside of that a number of games are still in development and a few others I don't think are ever going to have a proper launch to be honest lol. Application wise nothing new there really some small updates but nothing worth reporting on at the moment. My hopes are we start to see a bit of a spark on the development front again but that normally doesn't happen until hive starts to have some value behind it's token $0.50 + but really around that $1 range is when the hype starts to really kick in.
One cool thing [InLeo}(https://inleo.io/signup?referral=bitcoinflood) is doing a cool little update with Splinterlands where threading can be paid out in SPS and honestly with the low price of SPS right now that can seriously add up!
Goals
$HIVE
Goal: 300,000 Current: 124,977
Week over week that's a push of powering up 430 hive which is a good increase compared to last week and does push us to 61 hive powered up to day inching us closer to that goal of 100 hive powered up per day. We will get there! That's actully a decent chunk I'm rather happy with that today lol
That being said next week might be rough as there were a few times when I noticed my voting power was at 100% which means I was missing out on curation rewards. I normally never let this happen but it's been one crazy week!
$HBD
HBD as always is not a priority. While I'll keep stacking it my fears are I'll put a lot into it and that 15% APR will just disappear as that's always my luck honestly. So for now it's just a passive build from rewards and interest payouts and at times when I see a spike in the hive price I may dump a little of my liquid hive in there for a small little boost.
I'd love to be at the point of earning 100 HBD per day from it in passive income but that requires a rather large sum of 245,000 HBD.
$LEO
Leo continues to stack but it's honestly on the struggle bus to be honest with you. Leo has not really moved at all this year and is drastically down from when it was a smaller community and the token was $0.20+ It's had a lot of mishaps in its past which I think drove a lot of large investors away and broke trust. That trust I don't think will be regained and unless new large investors come in I don't see this one moving any time soon. We need some wins here.
Splinterlands
SPS Prices are down here as well as once again we are in missing deadlines. My hopes are we start to see some real developments come out of this game over the next few months that get people hyped for it again. But until then I'm just going to keep on stacking that SPS and getting my lands online. Which as of today I just started to clear another plot!
