By 2022, one-third of the world's population, 2.7 billion people, still do not have access to the Internet, and even though the cost of Internet services has fallen globally, the world's poorest people remain deprived of the opportunities offered by this technology.

This is according to a report published by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations' information and communications technology agency.

Internet access is growing, but not as fast and evenly around the world. There are still too many people who do not have access to digital technology. Despite this, however, the Internet has become more affordable in all regions of the world and for all population groups, regardless of income level. However, its cost remains a major obstacle, particularly in low-income economies.

Finally in internet access, serious gender inequality remains. According to the report, only 63 percent of women use the Internet in 2022, compared to 69 percent of men. The gender gap is even more concerning in low-income countries, where 21 percent of women are connected, compared to 32 percent of men, a figure that has not improved since 2019.

Here we, crypto enthusiasts, are a small percentage of those who use the internet, we are already a minority. But there are people who don't even know what internet is, it's a huge gap of our times. As if they were left in the past!!
