I'm sure many of you are playing or have heard of Hamster Kombat, a game, or a mini-app on the TON network. Since its launch last spring, it has been widely successful with millions of players worldwide. At first, I was a little disappointed because I thought the main objective was to tap the screen as much as I wanted to receive points. Gladly, Hamster Kombat is much more.
Playing For The Airdrop
Just the other day Hamster Kombat gave us a little bit of a hint of the airdrop criteria. Even though our points from different sectors still remain TBA, we can start to strategize to maximize our future airdrop allocation.
The first one, Passive Income is pretty straightforward: the more hourly income you have, the greater your reward will be in this area. I've been quite active with this and try to regularly buy different cards to increase my income. Note it's not completely passive as you have to check in and claim after every 3 hours.
By doing Tasks they probably mean watching educational YouTube videos. Your activity is reviewed within an hour and after that, you can come back and claim the prize.
Pro tip: you don't have to watch them till the end, it still gets recorded.
The Friends section is obviously the people you've referred to Hamster Kombat. I haven't really outperformed in this area as I started playing relatively late and at this point it feels like everyone is already in!😅
Keys. This is a mini-quest in which you have to move blocks to clear the way for your key. One key reward is earned by completing this daily task. Keys can also be earned by downloading and playing other games. This could very well be a big part of the airdrop so be sure to do at least the daily task.
Speculations
Hamster Kombat is airdropping a massive 60% of their token to players while stating it's gonna be the biggest crypto airdrop ever. There's no denying the popularity of the game but the most interesting thing is gonna be the future use case of the token, if there's gonna one. If not, we are gonna witness a massive dump.
However, if I understood correctly, the recent $NOT coin airdrop was a success, and if the Hamster Kombat team has some cool future use cases and plans, this could become really, really big as they have such a large (potential) user base.
Conclusion
To me, Hamster Kombat falls into the category of "whoknows". This is something I thought about a while ago: if there's enough hype with low risk, I think it's better to jump in if doesn't take too much of our valuable time and in this case, I'd say it's pretty laid back, stress-free and takes only a few minutes/day. Besides, the Key quest is pretty fun! 😀
So who knows, perhaps Haster Kombat manages to create this mega gaming empire on TON, and with little effort, we might already have grabbed a piece of that pie.
Oh, btw, I haven't been tapping the screen for tokens in 2 months! You really don't need to do that unless you are a hardcore fan of that...
