Even though there was a Winter break, I still managed somehow to get a Tier 4 reward card in the Champion League 5 with some old Jupiler Pro League players that I still own that made a transfer. I also minted a Tier 3 Limited card and bought a couple more Rare Players.

New Week Rare Lineups!
With De Wolf as a Playing Goalkeeper I now have enough options to field a rare In-Season team. It first when looking at the prizes it felt kind of impossible to get a cash payout as only the top 50 receives it but looking at it deeper, there are only 737 participants right now in the in-season challenger League 3 while the top 50 gets a box which has 20% chance to get 10€ in 50% discount or some rare essence. So it feels quite fair.
It's a bit of a longshot as I played 2 strikers especially with Valencia so far not really convincing. So I'm not expecting a top score but I do see a fair chance to end in the top 50%

Classic Challenger Lineups
Again 3 line-ups with playing goalkeepers and one Kortrijk stack who already play tonight. I would not be surprised with a low-scoring match there and I do hope that Kadri will play who was injured before.
Classic U23 Rare Lineups
Only 2 Lineups with playing goalkeepers and some players that might nit start the match so I'm not expecting too much from these.
Extra Special Lineups
I'l not expecting anything whatsoever from these but I do have spare players and some of them will play.
Limited Teams & Results
The Champion Team I submitted resulted in 341 points which ended me as 28th in the League 5 out of 2099 entries and I got a nice Tier 4 card along with a box from it. This way, the rewards keep coming in.

Especially the Antwerp Stack with Heyen added to it should have a chance to get a good score as they play against Beerschot.

I'm not expecting much from these and looking at it, I should probably witch Sandra and Vermeeren from place which I just did.
Champion Classic Limited Lineups
I now have enough players that made a transfer or from reward cards to field 2 full Champion Lineups. Especially the first one I would say is not without chance.
Player Transfers & Reward Card
I got 1 Tier 4 Limited Reward, minted 1 Tier 3 Limited card and bought 4 more Rare players mainly using the bonus money.
Dennis Praet: He was bought as a big transfer by Antwerp but after not having played half a year he needed some time. He's already 30 but should have quite some years left. He's got the potential to be too good for the Belgian League and I would not be surprised if he at some time became a regular starter with a guarantee for points. He did play a good cup match and managed to score in the mid-week.
Promise David: He still qualifies right now in the Under 23 and started to find his way in Union as a starter. It's by no means sure that he will turn out into a new sensation but he does look to have the potential. At 7.6€ I was willing to take the gamble also because I really need Reliable Under 23 Strikers.
Oscar Mingueza: He is an 25-year old defender from Celta De Vigo as a Tier 4 card that is worth around 2$
Olivier Deman: He's the new Defender of Antwerp replacing Costa while in Sorare he's listed as an Attacker. This most of the time works well as he doesn't just rely on scoring goals or assists to get good scores. I paid 7€ for him at an ok level already.
Luis Torres: At just 0.63€ he mainly just gives +1% bonus to 2 other Cercle Players from that collection. He's still young so at some point in time he might become worth more as he now doesn't play in a supported league.
Christos Mandas: He is the minted Tier 3 card and a Under 23 Goalkeeper of Lazio who at times played his match where he almost always did well. He's going for 6€+ on the market.
Season 2024-2025 Owned Collection Value
It's fairly easy to track your personal earnings on the Sobase.Football website. We seem to be at a point again where the rewards don't fully compensate for the drop in card values over time as more get printed and dumped on the market.
I am no longer putting outside funds into Sorare at this point and will track my total account value from here on out weekly. It's been pretty much a race to the bottom as sorare isn't able to come up with dynamics where card prices hold their value.

Conclusion
I'm still having a ton of fun with Sorare and I'm highly looking forward to the coming weekend. If I win something or manage to break even I'm already a happy player. Given the continued inflation, this is a game and not an investment.
