Sorare.com Week 26 | Tier 2 Limited Reward! (+20$)

I have highly been enjoying Sorare.com a lot now going into my 3rd year mainly playing in the Rare competitions. Each Week, I'm making an update post on what's happening in the ecosystem and how I'm doing personally.

Last week was a good one for sorare when it came down to the rewards as I took 13th place in my Limited Champion Lineup with some leftover players out of 7646 entries which got me a Tier 2 limited Card. I also managed to sell Denkey now that the MLS is hyped for 15€ but at the same time had to take Promise David off the market as the constant undercutting got him to a value where I'm no more jumping to sell

That really shows the core issue of Sorare in that the constant flood of new cards just crushes the average card prices which makes it almost impossible to actually earn unless you really get lucky.

Regular Season Rare Results

I did score 409 points with all players scoring above 60 and my captain having close to a max score which only got me a Tier 5 reward card in challenge which just shows that you need a near perfect score to actually get something decent. The In-game reward box one again gave 10$ in credits as a 50% discount which kind of is a scam at the moment as market prices often are more than 50% cheaper than the insta-sales. I still have a 20$ discount available in total but I'm not really finding any players that are worth picking up without getting burned even with the discount. Also I got 5 of those boxed and 4 of them had credits while the chance each time is only 20% which according t chatgpt only has a 0.64% chance. So it very much feels like Sorare wants to give the discounts as they are actually earning from it instead of giving rewards which kind of sucks.

Limited Teams & Results

1 Big result as with just 430 points I managed to get a Tier 2 limited card in Champion with a lineup full of ex-jupiler Pro League players that I'm still holding.

New Week Limited Lineups!

Plenty of limited lineups again and I don't feel like any of them really has a proper chance unless my Antwerp stack crushes Kortrijk.

Player Transfers & Reward Card

I sold 1 player and got 4 new ones so I'm still expanding my gallery pretty much.

I'm not looking to play the MLS which is a competition that has a threshold payout but I still have some players who are in it. In particular Denkey who made a transfer and is quite hot as I managed to get 15€ for a limited Max level card. It's also one of the few cards that managed to get a nice price increase over the years while I took many prizes with hime while he was the top striker of Cercle.

I did use the discount to buy another copy of Kadri who surely will make a transfer if Kortrijk Relegates. He's also one of those players who touches the ball a lot while he takes the corners and often gets good scores. Ozuarap is a Rare Tier 5 player who is 19 so no rush to dump him. Stiller is a Tier 2 player from Stuttgart and seems to have really good average scores. I did put him for sale on the market but got quickly undercut in what again is a race to the bottom. Finally I paid 0.51$ for a limited card of Balikwisha as it's cheap for a player like him and it helps me get closer to making my Antwerp stack stronger and with an extra % boost on all players. I'm thinking of buying a couple more just to get from +3% to +4%.

Season 2024-2025 Owned Collection Value

It's fairly easy to track your personal earnings on the Sobase.Football website. We seem to be at a point again where the rewards don't fully compensate for the drop in card values over time as more get printed and dumped on the market.

I am no longer putting outside funds into Sorare at this point and will track my total account value from here on out weekly. It's been pretty much a race to the bottom as sorare isn't able to come up with dynamics where card prices hold their value.

Conclusion

I'm still having a ton of fun with Sorare and I'm highly looking forward to the coming weekend. If I win something or manage to break even I'm already a happy player. Given the continued inflation, this is a game and not an investment.
