This is so true and what I think many people on Hive will experience over the coming years.
Many families since the Covid pandemic started have had to supplement their main income with various side hustles. In some cases it may be more than one type of hustle depending on how much is required to maintain their living standards. Working from home has given the possibilities for many to try various new ingenious ways to earn without a snooping boss always checking up.
I am sure if many knew about Hive and what is possible they would give it a try, but for all the wrong reasons. The idea of Hive being able to offer financial reward is true but one first has to learn the Hive eco system. Earning from day one without offering time and support to others in return will only end in failure and disappointment.
We have all seen many accounts come and go after giving up on what could have been Hive dreams of financial stability. Those dreams are available to the users who can see the long term possibilities as like any project to succeed time and effort is required.
Personally I think anyone is destined for failure if your expectations are that high of earning from day one. I have noticed many new users arriving in the various tribes of late and it is interesting to see how they conduct themselves. I think some have the "right stuff" and the right attitude to go far whilst the usual suspects will go quiet leaving with their tails between their legs.
The truth is any account can succeed on Hive if you allow the account to grow before plundering it. This has to be seen in the same way as a business as the "side hustle" could turn the tables and become your main source of income.
Consistency is the key and over time Hive will out do most professions in earning potential.
When Hive as at $3.41 not that long ago I would have earned more on here than any side hustle over the last 4 years. The only difference is this is far bigger than many understand as over the next 4 years this should earn more than most do earning their full time salaries. Hive doesn't need to hit $10 for that to happen and a $3 or $5 Hive will comfortably surpass many I know who work full time jobs. Hive at $2 would even surpass so many I know which is crazy considering your account has compounded growth and growth is something that happens anyway. I do believe anyone who gives their best on here will out perform most professional people earning a salary which is kind of crazy.
It is strange to think so many are racking their brains trying to find another source of income yet here we all are on Hive and they have no clue about it's existence. I found Hive on my own so it is out there for those that are looking hard enough. Those that I have tried to onboard have shunned my ideas so it is their loss as one day they will be kicking themselves. Who knows they may end up on Hive anyway through one of the many apps that will be developed and launched over the coming years. This is how I see many being onboarded without even knowing it that they are part of the Hive eco system. Ironic I know but expect it will happen as Hive is developed more and more.
