The Masses Need To Wake Up

Those of us who are in crypto (all of us here) have taken the time to learn new skills as knowledge unlocks success. personally I have been involved for over 5 years now and it has been a journey that has been more about paying attention and teaching yourself the need to know things.

Crypto is not that easy as there is a serious learning curve required which when you first start you have no knowledge of. The idea you just purchase a few coins and boom you are rich is not going to happen as you need to understand the markets along with researching your investments. However saying that is what should be happening and we know only a small percentage do this and have taken the time to learn new skills. The average human is fairly lazy it seems and why many may never truly learn any new skills.

If we honestly think about it this is a process that actually does take quite a bit of time and would guess possibly a few years and that is being involved within a community. If you are on your own I would suggest slightly longer as you are not gaining knowledge from others sharing their experiences.

I was comfortable to start investing after I had completed a full cycle as I had sufficient knowledge to make the right calls. This tells me the masses are in for a rude awakening and unless they want to lose their investments will most likely have to follow a similar path to many of us.

Choosing a blockchain like Hive would be a smart choice as we do have some seriously smart people involved and being a community do offer impartial advice when it comes to investments. Unlike Twitter which would be a minefield to start your crypto journey Hive is a sheltered community which gives you the time to learn the ropes.

Learning skills is easier said than done however as an old dog struggles to learn new tricks and in this case many will not have any choice but to get involved. The way the economy is going having a second income online is going to be a must have. What we have been doing for the last few years may seem unique or strange, but this will become the norm over the next 5 years.

I would hate to be starting out again as having a 5 or 10 year head start is huge in the bigger scheme of things. Crypto is constantly changing so we are always learning on the go and what gives us the advantage over others.

Somehow a lot of people still don't trust Crypto, even if they can get it for "Free" by posting on Hive!

Crypto is the portal to a new world and we are its first citizens. While we can still use crypto for real life goods, I think that what the future holds for it is much more than we can even imagine at this point in time.

Yes that is a way of looking at things and there is still so much that is going to still happen.

The initial part of the journey (the learning curve) unfortunately proves to be too much for many. I have seen so many beginning with tremendous optimism and determination... only to see it fade within a matter of months. It's all part and parcel... no avoiding it!

People are lazy and don't realise by putting no effort in they are bound to fail. The more you understand the more you enjoy it and the more you will achieve.

Crazy to think that some people have to go through a couple of cycles yet. I can't even imagine having to start over this late in the game like that.

It is the equivalent of starting school again as a time line. We are lucky we are here and have learned so much already.

Yeah, good point!

I have tried to invite a lot of my friends to come and join the crypto world but they became adamant. A lot of them think that they can just make a million dollars from cryptocurrency overnight and that is never possible. It is a gradual process which is like every other thing.
That is why I hate it when people jump into conclusion and talk shit about crypto

I myself have been in crypto for six years. If someone says that it is very easy, one can only earn money by investing money, then it is not at all. You have to read all about it to understand. Only then can one become successful within man, otherwise man only does harm because in the beginning I also did a lot of harm because I did not know about his cycle at all. The most important thing at this time is that one should know everything about the project and most of all one should know that there is someone to sell and buy back here. And this market never moves in one way, we all know that we must learn something new every day.

Yes you need to know everything and stay up to date otherwise it could be a risk. In other words you have to become a specialist in your chosen investments in order to make the right decisions. The learning never ends and knowing this makes your chances of being successful that much higher.

Yeah you are right. The way we see the market right now is that Bitcoin is only going up because of the dominance.

True but that is going to change shortly when use cases of certain crypto projects will influence their own price and not what Bitcoin does.

Yes use cases is very important. But currently, the top hundred coins are not being pumped, it has good use cases.

Yes but most of them are not ready and many don't have proper use cases. Just because they are in the top 100 means absolutely nothing as if we are honest the majority have no use cases.

I'm saying here is that if Bitcoin's dominance comes down, then we'll see it go up.

I get mad when people say crypto trading is dangerous. ALL INVESTING IS DANGEROUS. The difference is, some people take the time to learn what they are doing. They also have common sense to only invest what they can afford and to start small and grow.

I hate when people jump in head first, don't do any research, buy whatever shitcoin is shilled to them on Twitter, then have the audacity to say, "all crypto is a scam" when they lose their investment.

I spent two years trading pennies on a small exchange before even considering making a real investment. I watched the market, I learned from better traders, I invested small and grew slowly. Mistakes were made, and some money lost. I learned from those mistakes and became a much better trader because of it.

The people that have the victim mentality every time they lose, are the same ones that are destroying our industry and cheering on over-regulation because they don't have enough common-sense to do their own research and learn about what they're doing.

I also realize I was lucky to get involved early. I couldn't imagine starting over from zero where the market is now. It's been a fun journey though.

The way the economy is going having a second income online is going to be a must have. What we have been doing for the last few years may seem unique or strange, but this will become the norm over the next 5 years.

I really hope that is the case. I hope the governments don't regulate us out of existence. Crypto has afforded me many opportunities. I couldn't image anyone being deprived of these opportunities and that's what over-regulation will do IMHO.

Yes this is all true and why I took just on 4 years before I started investing outside of Hive. The research never stops as this is so important to get the investments chosen right the first time. I need to learn how to trade and will be the next learning period. I hope everyone gets the chance and is not deprived of what we have been doing.

Excellent write-up!

I see a lot of young people (particularly guys, for some reason) get into the "crypto game" for what I think are the wrong reasons. This notion that crypto is a get-rich-quick scheme has permeated a lot of their Internet culture. You get all sorts of gurus who'll now tell you everything you need to know, and boom, in a couple of years, you'll already be bored with your Maserati collection. And I think therein lies the difference between a learning mind and one that's blocked. The one that's blocked keeps waiting for the information to trickle down, for the solution to be served to them on a silver platter.

Still, hopefully some will learn (since necessity is always the best teacher).
