When you have set your targets on a lofty number that is achievable over a lengthy period of time that lengthy period of time is a nice way of saying a grind. Looking at my COTI stake this evening the umber has ticked over the 152K mark which is only 76% of the way to the 200K COTI target.
The target needs to be achieved before we see the ATH's at the back end of next year so there can be no letting up. I need to be at 180K COTI by April/May next year to have any hope of achieving this and will just keep on accumulating as fast as possible.
In theory this should become easier as time ticks by with the daily rewards increasing due to the stake growing in size. The 300 COTI being earned via rewards every week is inching up slowly and is not easy to spot the difference unless you zoom out. This is not including the 3.5K COTI being added monthly. Last month this was roughly 295 COTI per week so roughly an extra 5 now being added. This is kind of like watching paint dry and you have to just stick to the task at hand as this does work. By June next year I will know if I have to change tactics or not, but for now there is no panic.
The 152K COTI stake I have currently would be worth more than $100K at the last ATH and next time around we are expecting far more so you have to just trust the process. There has been so much new development that has taken place since November 2021 plus with COTI V2 becoming a layer 2 privacy token on Ethereum is really a big change.
This evening the COTI team announced that the COTI V2 main net will only be launching in Q1 next year and not Q4 this year as previously announced. The reasons over not being prepared to compromise on security in order to rush the new COTI V2 out I can understand and will wait patiently until the start of next year instead.
The upside is for this inconvenience there will be more rewards for those staked as I know I was banking on the bonus COTI V2 tokens to boost my overall stake when the swap over happened. This was actually built into being able to achieve the 200K COTI target so we shall wait and see how lucrative this will be.8-10% of the stake is what I expect if my calculations are correct which by then will be a rather big chunk.
