This Has Been Too Easy, Normally You Have To Fight To Get A Business Set Up

This afternoon we heard the news that we have landed the new account even though no one has been to visit. A little bit of an anti climax I guess, but with how lazy people are today it has to be expected. There is us preparing for a non event even though I guessed we had a high chance of landing the new client just by what we do.

The way I see this is that the good news is the remaining competition does not have the numbers to make their business viable and the new kids on the block have taken the lions share of the market. Over the coming month or two I expect a phone call requesting to see if we can do this other companies punch bags and then we would have the total market supply sewn up.

When you think about it this has taken less than 3 months to achieve and more like 10 weeks from having no idea and just using common sense to get the better of everyone else. How fragile those other 2 businesses must have been and kind of scary if that was your main income.

From my understanding now we have been supplying consistently the numbers have started to rise highlighting that there has always been a shortage on this particular product. The big client we have has this month upped their order by another 20% meaning the sales have been strong and the items have sold through.

I am still spinning trying to find enough textile waste which is used as stuffing and even though I am happy the numbers are rising I have to source far more than first expected. This is easer said than done and I am constantly on the lookout for an opportunity. The textile waste from the mask plant even though it is very light means I have to accept all of it for now until I find another solution.

All that remains now for our new client is to do a drop test from 1 meter up to 4 meters and to give them the report. This will not affect the product as it is filled to the brim slightly over the required weight and there is nothing that can break. Again you would expect the buyer to do this test himself, but maybe this would be asking too much.

What I have heard as feedback so far is that we have done things slightly differently and everyone is happy with the product. The filling using an internal tube of river sand along with the textile waste was never being done here so you have to ask why not as it is that obvious. I have no hard feeling for all the other competitors as this is business and if you are that out of touch with your product then you deserve to lose what you have. The hope is within the next few moths this business will just be operating like clock work and I can then move onto the next project, but always having one eye open checking the daily numbers and quality.

Take the easy win as some others might require more energy that worth it. Things might compensate in the future.

You might be right as this is the easiest business I have ever set up. Next one should be just as fast but needs more investment first.

I have come to realize that when a business just remain in its usual space it can't be able to make any difference, and that differences is needed to bit other competitors and attract more customers, am certain that in few months you will move to the next project, new and effective strategy, also consistency is the key for business growth.

Yes if you never move your business forward you are at risk from competitors. Consistency is important and you are spot on here.

When times and methods of business change, then the method of business must also change, otherwise the business will never be successful and one day the business will end.
