Far from perfect still 🛠🎬
I've been using https://3speak.tv/ daily for about four weeks now and most of that has gone very well. A lot of things have improved since my last period of uploading videos to 3Speak. I no longer have problems getting videos to upload and encoding doesn't seem to take very long at all. The max file size has been boosted to 5GB and I can upload longer videos in 1080p with ease.
There is one major issue I've been having when trying to get my posts ready to go live and that has to do with the post scheduler. For the first week of my previous 20 or so videos, things went smoothly. Then all of a sudden a few days back, all of my videos stopped posting at the scheduled time which I had arranged. I am pretty sure it has to do with the devs switching which time zone the scheduler goes by, but why not just keep it in UTC so it's easier for everyone? It's been local time, then UTC, and now I honestly have no clue what time zone it goes by.
PeakD's post scheduler has always gone by UTC and I have never once had any problems with my posts going live too early or late. 3Speak should definitely look into matching this same type of consistency because scheduling is really beneficial when it works. I like for my videos to go live at the same time every day. There are many benefits to this which I discuss in today's video.
I hope that some people from the 3Speak team will be able to chime in here and let me know what exactly is going on. I know I'm not the only person having issues with videos not actually getting posted, I've seen a few people mentioning it in Discord as of late. Anyone with answers please feel free to comment on this post or message me on Discord.
