Hello all! Another week and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.
Let’s start with my Hive goals.
Hive & HBD
My goal for this year was 35k Hive. And I passed that back in July when the price of HIVE dipped and I used it as the opportunity to buy a lot of it. We then moved to my stretch goal of 40k. And I’m happy to announce that yesterday for HPUD I reached and passed that mark! Woohoo!
To get into specifics, last week I made or bought 586.15, bringing me to 40,213.450 total Hive Power. That’s 100.5% of my goal!
So here we are… I’ve reached both my goal and my stretch goal for Hive Power. I wasn’t on pace to hit either one just from organic growth, but that HIVE price dip from above 30 cents to below 20 proved to be too good to refuse. I guess it’s a gamble to put so much money into Hive. With all the abuse we have here and with the DHF just bleeding away money to people who should know better than to take advantage of the system, I do sometimes wonder about Hive’s future. But… well, it’s a gamble. I like this place, so it’s a hobby, and I’ve blown more money on hobbies in the past—and in the event that Hive actually does become popular and goes up in value, well, that’s a great bonus!
(fingers crossed! 🤞)
So what’s next for my HIVE goal? Let’s look at the second layer first.
Second Layer Tokens
Token | Last week total | Goal | Needed | Note |
---|---|---|---|---|
— | 2000 | 0 | Goal Met | |
BRO | 0.134 | 1000 | 382.5083 | 61.7% of the way there! |
PIMP | 373.71122445 | 100k | 3823.92 | 96.2% of the way there! |
CINE | 262.621 | — | — |
No surprises here. I did buy a little LGN when I saw the price dip down to 0.6. Ray has committed to buying all the dumping LGN and getting the price above 1 HIVE, so I figure anything below 1 is worth buying—if you trust Ray, that is, and I do. If any of you have some money you don’t know what to do with, I would suggest doing the same.
I am thinking that for the rest of December I may stop powering up HIVE everyday and instead see if I can get my PIMP level up to 100k, which is my 2024 goal for that one. Given that I’ve been powering up 50–100 HIVE everyday, if I instead put that into PIMP then I should hit that goal in a few days.
But… that would mean I need to stop powering up HIVE. Part of me kind of wants to keep increasing my HP to see where I can finish the year at. Hmm… 🤔
Silver
The silver chart for last week was kind of meh. Not bad, not good:
Still a lot of Black Friday sales out there. Japan has Black Friday as well as the US, so I might assume some of you guys in other countries have it too. And I also see a lot of Cyber Monday deals. Browsing through the deals, this one popped out at me.
Kind of fun. It’s only 6g, but… like I said, kind of fun. Just don’t let one of your kids mistake it for an actual bottle cap and throw it into a collection or try to take it to recycling or something.
Giveaway
That stuff out of the way, let’s do our SBI drawing! If you are new here, I give away 5 shares of SBI every week to commenters on this post. If you also reblog and comment you get a second entry and double the award (if you win).
So how about this week? Let’s see… last post we had comments from @ablaze @anderssinho @bozz @day1001 @dewabrata @friendlymoose @jakiro12 @kerrislravenhill @lupega @rqr4 @shullamite17 @silverd510 @slothlydoesit [x2] @thebighigg @vaynard86 [x2].
