Am I the only one seeing this?
I have been following the #nolosslottery recently, as @shortsegments wrote a few articles and several threads explaining the No Loss Lottery or NLL and Prize Linked Savings Accounts or PLSA, and what impact this has had on the savings rate of the poor whereever these PSLA are available at banks and credit unions.
I am impressed by the statistics from the world poverty organization about how PSLA increase savings among the poor. I was surprised to find that the poor spend more on lottery tickets, so if you get them to save in PSLA instead, they start to save disproportionately too.
I think that's amazing. Plus more importantly, I think it's amazing how we have essentially a PSLA on Hive called the No Loss Lottery or @nolosslottery and it isn't more popular.
I understand it has over 5400 tickets purchased so far, and weekly winners for over a year. I feel like it has proven itself to be a reliable project, the person running it has been here for 5 years and has run this project for a year, and hasn't run off with the money. So why doesn't anyone else promote it?
I am actually thinking of making a purchase offer to @shortsegments and buying this entity, then paying for some marketing.
I haven't been here for 5 years, but I think I could do something to help this project grow.
