after my post yesterday where I staked from around 1750 HP to 8500 HP it got me inspired to go even further, I knew I had some extra random Crypto coins laying about from the past couple years so I collected them all into an exchange and swapped them for even more Hive, with that I was able to obtain another 1500 and power myself up to the 10,000 mark.
My vote now weighs in at a lovely 0.091 in value which is incredible, didn't think it'd ever get so high! especially considering just days ago I was sittiing at 0.021 after my few years on Hive.
Not to mention the 3.25% interest to my staked Hive, slowly compiling extra Hive as time goes on regardless if I am active or not. That won't make a huge difference in the grand scheme of things but every little helps, and every bit extra that I power up will increase my voting power going forward. Definitely looking towards the 15,000 mark and hopefully soon!
I also want to compile more HBD into the saving feature within Peakd and watch the interest grow as the weeks and months go by, constantly adding towards my HBD saving fund. But whenever I aim to put HBD away into savings, while Hive is so cheap I can't help but grab more Hive instead. So I'm unsure when I will get around to dropping more HBD into savings.
My HBD savings are currently at $126.84 which should compile some decent interest per month, my goal is to definitely keep increasing my holding as 15% APR is amazing by everyones standards.
I sat on the Hive I used to power up for over a year, if not two. So it feels right to finally put it to use, I'm just kicking myself for not doing it years ago, if not just a lot sooner. For the past year or two I've been very absent with Hive and engaging with the communities. I barely curated content or interacted, I would have a browse about if anything new is happening within Hive every few months or so then repeat.
I have a reason to stick around again and put my newly powered up Hive to good use, can't be slacking on the votes now they have some weight to them!
