Update on IATSE 720 Union Group Censorship
Recently, I experienced censorship and a subsequent ban from the IATSE 720 union group when attempting to discuss work-related issues and seek collaboration on problems. The act of posting such concerns falls under the umbrella of protected concerted activity, yet my efforts were met with censorship and expulsion from the group.
Group Screenshot and Moderator Details
In the provided screenshot, you can observe the group and its administrator/moderator details. This transparency is crucial in understanding the dynamics of the situation.
Censorship Incident
The specific post that led to my censorship and subsequent ban is evident in the above screenshot. Despite explicitly asserting my right not to be censored, my participation in protected concerted activity was curtailed.
Ongoing Retaliation
As demonstrated in the third screenshot, even though the group is visible in search results, I am unable to access it due to my ban. This ongoing retaliation raises concerns about the fairness and transparency within the group.
In the spirit of open communication and dialogue, I urge a reconsideration of the censorship policies and a review of the circumstances surrounding my ban. As a member seeking collaboration and discussion on work-related matters, I believe in upholding the principles of free expression and protected concerted activity within our union community.
Join The Movement
I would like those in the entertainment & event industries to join us in our IATSE Group I created several years ago due to their early censorship in which we have over 100 more members than the pictured group above. Join International Association of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE)
