Hello Hive people, I love you dearly. I love what we are doing here, which is working to build a better world through voluntary association. This protocol (suite of protocols) is my home, and there are a lot of things on my to-do list to help us grow. I may just be a peasant farmer, but in a #web3 world there is a lot of things I can do to make an impact.
You may remember my saga to get dCity listed on DappRadar.
I also got BeeSwap listed on there.
Through our experiences with these two, I realized that there was a wall between Hive-Engine and DappRadar. Even though Splinterlands somehow managed to get them to track their custom json experiences, Dapp Radar currently considers anything that doesn't happen at an account/wallet level (read: custom json) as 'custom tracking'.
This is a big problem for us, but of course we have to be understanding of the Dapp Radar team, each installation and new way of tracking has an associated cost for them.
I decided that we needed to go straight to the source, and get the hive-engine platform itself tracked. Once we get the ssc-mainnet-hive
tracked, it should be pretty easy to track within that any ID like SIM
or CITY
. Other projects that use custom json will but not under the ssc-mainnet-hive
hive-engine protocol will probably have to apply for custom tracking, but hopefully as we build a bridge with the Dapp Radar team we can make these types of integration go smoothly and easier to understand for all.
So I got listed Hive-Engine listed: https://dappradar.com/hive/exchanges/hive-engine
Currently this really only tracks the hive and hbd side deposits on the honey-swap account, but still gives us some amazing stats. In order to monitor things like SWAP.HIVE operations on markets, we will need to make a deal with the DappRadar team for custom tracking.
Why do you care ECO?
I'm not really one to just 'hodl my bags' and hope, I participate in this ecosystem and work to make it better. But I am also a block producer for the hive-engine side chain.

Last time I promoted the fact that we were being improperly tracked (for dcity) on twitter, the support team seemed to get a bad feeling with me. I am hoping this time to avoid this, I really want to work with them to make sure our HIVE dapps are tracked properly, and build a road to make this process easier for all of us in the future.
It might take a few days, but I will keep at it - doing the hard work behind the scenes to get our apps in front of the people - with the right stats! I think some people will be surprised how well our blockchain competes once we are actually being tracked.
