Strait to the point - Grass (link above) is a browser extension that runs in the background of your device, collects and sells tiny amounts of your unused bandwidth, and pays you in coin for it. The amount of bandwidth the extension is selling is negligible, 0.03% to be exact, and you will never notice it, since that amount will never cause lag.

This tech is very new (about 6 months old), and not necessarily unique. There are other apps such as Honey Gain, & Pawns.app that offer similar internet sharing/earning services, and you could use them in combination to stack even more.

The reason I like this service over others that claim similar results (like Pi Network 🤮 - no rewards distributed after 6 years of operation) is due to their transparency, shared referral rewards, the money-type optional payout system, and ease of use and adoption.

Transparency

U.S. trade law only allows the release of certain types of information when doing a pre-launch rewards endeavor like this. Grass has released as much info as they are legally allowed to, including how, how much, and what they are doing to create your rewards. They are not allowed to release a timline roadmap for when the rewards will be distributed however.

This is the only "risk" I can see. If in two years time from now there is still no actual money distributed to the users, then I would certainly raise question about the project's legitimacy.

Shared Referral Rewards

When other humans use your referral code to sign up for Grass (instead of traditional sign up) the person using the referral AND the person who's referral code it is will split 10k in Grass points as the referral rewards. That's 5,000 Grass EACH. This reward is distributed once the new user reaches 10k Grass points. In practice it does seem more like a 7500 point referral (not 10k), where the referral code user gets 5K, and the person who referred gets 2.5k in points.

There is also a teired % incentive system for referals, that is always a fun feature to keep folks incentivized to continue sharing their referals with new users (screenshot with details below)

Future Optional Staking

This company also claims that it holds priority in rewarding early adopters, and that you will also have the option to stake your Grass points instead of cashing them out. Theoretically this implies that those of us that are gaining points now, are gaining many more points currently than we would when there is a much larger user base in the future. The staking is going to be based around a web indexing protocol.

Payout Style Options: Pay Bills or Invest

When real money begins distributing for the points you earn, there will also be a payout system that provides options for the type of money you would like to receive. You will have a choice between standard payment methods like PayPal & Venmo (for fiat withdrawals), or you can opt to be paid in Bitcoin (for crypto withdrawals).

This way you can extract your rewards differently each time depending on your current needs. If you need help paying a bill quickly, cash out in fiat style. If you are more flush at the time and the market is bear, cash out in BTC to swap out and expand your investment portfolio at no actual monetary cost to you.

Ease of Use & Adoption

The biggest reason I am excited about this project is that this system is just about the easiest on Earth for the average person to sign up for, use, and start earning with. Its the most passive, passive income I've ever come across. All you have to do is have your device on, WiFi on, and check to make sure the extension is connected and running every once in a while. This is also one of many projects I am currently sharing that carries ZERO financial risk, since it never requires money from the users to earn from this, your only investment is 0.03% of your internet (that is unused anyway), and a few moments of your time to set up. Turn unharnessed energy into $$!!

The ONLY Catch

This is a browser extension, so it seems to only work exclusively with laptops and desktops (maybe some tablets - untested). This project is not designed to be used with any phone devices, Android, Apple, or otherwise.

The reward amounts are also area and need dependent, so your points retrievals will vary based on the regions you exist in, and how much bandwidth is still needed to be retrieved for any given area.

How Much Can You Expect to Earn

Based on my research of similar projects, you can expect to earn between $5 - $20 USD per month through the use of this app (maybe a little more with referrals). Their site claims you can earn up to $30 USD per month, and while that is technically true, I would not expect $30 per month as a consistent payout amount.

The coin itself should remain stable and not change in value. Cashing out in BTC and swapping to other cryptos would create the price-flux effect if desired.
