Finance 101: Be Grateful

It's Sunday and am just trying to do a bit of reflection. As humans, our desires are endless and therefore we feel we need endless resources to meet them. This is untrue for the most parts because resources are scarce and finite, and also we tend to exaggerate the things we actually need.

It can be so bad that we become anxious over some unmet financial goal even when we experience growth and there is no real need for such a goal in the first place. A lot of us have experienced elevated financial status over the last couple of years which we don't even take note of. It is indeed very easy to be caught up in the rat race called life.

How many of us take time to reflect on how much we have experienced transformations over our financial position though? We certainly should be grateful enough to acknowledge growth at the very least. If we only wait for significant milestones we may become blind to our own growth.

Gratitude is important. I personally am in a much better position financially than I was last year, even though I am still eager for more growth and quite ambitious about how far I can get with my finances. It is funny, at a time I was even forced to borrow some money from friends and family (and even hivers, thanks Taraz), but now I have no need to borrow and even give out on periodic basis depending on my capacity.

Hive has a very good gratitude system that helps acknowledge milestones. Thanks to Hivebuzz, we are always in the know when we achieve certain milestones and it even helps us celebrate. This is the way it should be, no matter how little or insignificant it may seem. Ever notice that when you receive notifications of meeting a certain milestone there is always the target of achieving the next milestone?

If we don't celebrate small wins we can quickly become overwhelmed and resentful about our lack of growth. I have certainly been here when paying medical expenses for a family member made me question my income. The truth was it had grown, but the needs at the time just made it overwhelming. Gratitude helps put things in perspective and propels us to make better decisions in a way.

The things am most grateful for about my personal finances are having a relatively stable job and finally deciding to take Hive (and crypto) seriously. The improvements have been significant and it seems there is now so much to look forward to compared to how things were.

Dear @empress-eremmy,

I'm glad to read you appreciate how HiveBuzz tracks and notifies you about your progress on the Hive blockchain.
But the HiveBuzz proposal recently lost funding and we need your help.
May I ask you to support it so the Hivebuzz team can continue its work!

Thank you!

It keeps showing 'not successfully broadcasted', but am going to keep trying

Do you still get the error?

Tried it just now... Supported

Thank you @empress-eremmy

Irrespective of the fact that things sometimes get a bit tougher, but I am still grateful having a stable job (it's a low paid but again it's better than nothing) and investing my extra time over here.

Love this. Having stable work helps us build our assets over time without too much pressure. One day it will pay off, am sure of it

What you say is truly interesting and fascinating. The truth is that I also think it is important to feel gratitude for the economic and personal growth that we are having in life.

Sometimes, due to circumstances, progress goes unnoticed, but it is there, and noticing it will allow us to be aware of the progress we are making in this regard.

Personally, I feel like understanding Hive was a huge step forward for me, it was really significant in every way. Because last year, I was writing and interacting here very inconsistently. So, I fell into the lack of perseverance, and the lack of perseverance does not lead to anything positive or good.

Fortunately everything changed. Today I am very happy that I am taking my growth in Hive seriously, because this came as a result of a great understanding of many things on my part. I finally understood what Hive is, as a platform, cryptocurrency and project; and I also understood its enormous potential for future growth, and the enormous potential for growth and progress that those of us who persevere interacting with on the platform also have.

The truth is that all this has allowed me to learn and finally understand that the progress we are making should never go unnoticed by us, because they will be the basis that will allow us to continue persevering towards our goals.

I liked reading your post. Thanks for sharing. Greetings.
