Hive Doesn't Need Perfect

I was having a glance through my last article and noticed some spelling errors which have now been corrected. Whilst it isn't something am especially proud of considering how long I've been a writer on this platform, the fact that I could still make mistakes and still get my message across, as well as the community's support is something am greatly appreciative of.

My current workplace has zero/very little tolerance for errors. I know it doesn't sound like an environment I'd be in for too long but am making the most of it this period. While I doubt I'll ever be a perfectionist, there is of course a lot of good to gain from doing things the way they're meant to be done. However, I believe an environment that harshly punishes even the smallest of errors would ultimately hurt rather than aid my growth and personal development.

On Hive am free, we're free. The community doesn't demand perfection but rather strives towards development and getting better each day. Without being told, one can guess the core values of the Hive chain from mere participation over time. They definitely include consistency, authenticity, integrity, relationships and of course patience. Maybe I need another article to further highlight them. This is very big in the grand scheme of things, as it allows us to continue to improve and make necessary adjustments without the added pressure that comes from being a perfectionist.

Of course it doesn't mean I take for granted the privilege of communal support, and also strive to improve on both quality as well as value. Yet what it shows for me is why I should probably be kicking myself for letting up on my Hive dream of growing to the point where it becomes the main asset, rather than my job.

Same as me, i try as much as i can to edit my articles....maybe i'm a perfectionist..
