January 2022 recap - Not the start of the year we were hoping for

Again a month has passed. Let me show you how my portfolio did.

Market update

Another disappointing month, but with a bounce back in the last week. The total market cap of cryptocurrencies went down from 2.21 tn to 1.76 tn. Bitcoin dominance was up from 40.2% to 41.9%.
Looking at the prices of the individual currencies, Bitcoin went down from $46,900 to $38,400 this month. The price of Ethereum went down from $3,700 to $2,640.

Current Portfolio

Again I didn't invest more money in Bitcoin and Ethereum. My overall portfolio value is now about €5,000 lower than one month ago. My portfolio shifted a bit towards BTC. My personal BTC "dominance" is now at 41.0% (from 39.4%).
In total I have invested €2,600 in Ethereum and Bitcoin, so I'm still at a €16,500 overall profit.

I managed to increase my Hive Power holdings from 6,391 to 6,477 HP.

Let's hope we've hit rock bottom for this year and we can see more rising prices from now on. Still this might only be the start of a very bearish year/period as well of course. Which one will it be? We'll see it in the coming recaps.

Nope, besides Hive (and related tokens) and Ethereum I don't have any altcoins.

That's impressive. I started out with BTC, ETH and Hive and now own many other altcoins. I think I ventured out too far :)

It has been a tough month for #Bitcoin but hopefully we have found the bottom. Still waiting for that #altseason everyone was talking about! haha
