From the begining you will surely find it hard but the end will be great . Every succesful story has a rough begining but the end will be superb!
I remember early of last year when we were at school to go for our I.T program and i have a friend that we both combined together run our I.T program at the same place. We went to different companies both Big and Small to apply for I.T and their replies was almost the same thing. "We will get to you guys, we will call you".
I told my friend Matthew that "this response is not favouring at all"... At the end of everything we got fed up, no call at all. We then decide to go back to school to inform our H.O.D of Engineering Department that we couldn't get a place to do our I.T . He said we can do it at school then.
The struggles was much for both me and friend Matthew. We had no choice but to stay at school. I always have hope that something great will come. So, one of our lecturers at school Mr Yusuf didnt like the idea of we doing our I.T at school.. So he gave us a link of a company FSD (Field of Skills and Dream) thats running a three months program on I.T ... We gave it a try but it is not what we studied at school we found there.
I studied Networking at school, but the list of programs we found was Electrical wiring ,Solar installation and Refrigeration and Air condition (RAC). The surprising part there is we're going to do exam in order to be qualified to be part of the program. They were about 700 above that applied for the program and only 55 will be qualified : so they scheduled most of us for the exam.
My friend was not qualified to do the exam because after we register on the link, you will be sent a mail on the date you will come for the exam. I got a mail but my friend didnt, but he followed me to the company. Eventually i was qualified, but he was not...We were three that was selected from our school and we graduated togther on the three months program.
We were rewarded with a Certificate on what we studied there for four month tour. 1 month for training, then 3 months for I.T at the company we were posted to. At some point i almost gave up on the journey , but when i looked back i could see what i've achieved. So i had but to have faith. The distance from home was far.. Everyday i wake up around 4am, by 7am am already at work... Then we close by 5pm.. But traffic will surely occur along the way also... i get home almost everyday around 9pm. But am proud of myself today that am a qualified Solar installer... To everyone reading this... Never give uo on your Goal in life. Just know that nothing comes easy and there's always a price to pay.
