Success Demands Being Ruthless - My Billionaire Encounter

I am not a motivational speaker, sincerely I do not like people that talk to much or want to help everyone because they cannot be of help to everyone but there is something that I want to share with you. Something I learned after staying in the same place with a billionaire whom I was opportune to spend just 10 minutes with.

It was at the airport, and he was going to the jet hanger when his security detail pushed me and I fell. He looked at me and asked me up, apologized and saw I had a little bruise. He was going to call the medics but I asked if he could just spare me 5 minutes of his time. he told me he didn't have it and he didn't think I planned for this to happen. I replied to him that I never planned for it but I had always prayed for a day with him so he looked at his time and said he thinks he has 10 minutes and these were the things I learned from him.

First, If you want to be a billionaire, you cannot be you. It was shocking, I thought I was the best that ever existed but to him, I wasn't good enough. he mentioned that if I did what I was meant to do with the little I have, I should have been a millionaire by now and when I reach the millionaire status, pursuing to become a billionaire becomes a number game and not a riches game. he mentioned that everything you want can be paid for by just being a millionaire but continuous growth and calculating numbers will continue to push you to become a billionaire. he then said to me that I either evolve my thinking and attitudes towards things or I remain stuck where I am.

He asked after my friends and he told me if I have been keeping the same friends for a while now, then I should be certain that I am not ready for change. He mentioned that if I want to grow, then I should keep meeting people, growing myself and be ready for change. He asked be to be ready to change my environment, change whatever I am doing currently, change my friends, change my mindset, change my attitude, and change my believes. He mentioned that the inability to change means remaining at one point and being cool with it.

He said that success is about change and climbing the ladders of wealth comes with a lot of changes that I must be willing to adapt to immediately or I will fall down the ladder very fast because there are a lot of people who do not know how to climb the ladder but are willing to bring people down the ladder. He then said, talking about ladder, how ruthless are you?

I was shocked, do I have to be ruthless to become a billionaire? He said to me, you have to be ruthless with everything about you. If it is not serving you or giving you what you need, then displace it. He mentioned that I should be willing to keep everyone and everything that is important to me, and I should be willing to discard everything that is not adding value to me because if they're are not adding to me, they are taking away from me.

He mentioned to me that if I want success, I should be willing to sacrifice the familiar things around and stick to a new regimen because I cannot stick to one way and expect the results from different ways. He mentioned that if I am ruthless, then when I see luck, I will be able to identify it ans I will be prepared for it because nothing makes a person poor than not being able to take advantage of luck when it is in their face.
