Living off of the Net

image.pngYou know, from the moment I heard about the internet something clicked in my brain and I thought that most probably this would be the one place where a person could actually make a living without having to worry about a boss, overhead or any of the other ordinary things that give people who are trying to make a living headaches. Of course I had no idea about how to go about it, and surprisingly, probably 25 years later, I still don't.

I guess I am just not built for making money, my mission was to get a job and keep until I retired with a pension. Well I quit my job and still have no pension, I should get a small one in a couple of years. So naturally I have looked at all sorts of opportunities online but alas, I have found nothing that works for me. Yes, I have cashed out money from HIVE and STEEMIT, not much, but it has been close to life saving money. This is the main reason both of my accounts are quite small, I never have the chance to see them grow much. But apart from these small cash infusions the net has not given me much more, money wise I mean.

And the funny thing is, that unlike people in developed countries like the USA, countries in Europe Australia, Japan, etc. I live in Honduras a third world country. and while it is true that things here are not quite as cheap as they once were (I mean you could have a great meal on less than a USD) it still is a place where I can easily live, now I mean just live, you know food, utilities, internet and perhaps a few bucks left over for some fun activities on 500.00 USD, nothing luxurious.

But the thing is, I have not found an option where I can get steady money from the internet, you know even a steady income of a few hundreds would be great. I am just writing this so you can see that life is still hard any way you look at it, I again tell you I thought the internet would change this but for most of us it is not so. And I don't expect things to change. Still life is great, and if there is one thing the internet does give you, it is hope. You know perhaps tomorrow I find the magic money maker. But heck, I like this thing, at least it makes my days better.
