That DXY is getting wicked, even with the pullback in gold prices it is still near ATH (All-Time-Highs) in terms of the $CAD. And one huge benefit in having a significant holding in precious metals is that I have the option to sell my bullion to my primary dealer in $USD if I need to. That is, if I have an account denominated in USD should my dealer run out of cash at hand.
The dollar keeps pumping, but I wonder if it's because people believe that Trump will change things around. I think the system is kind of broken and I doubt he could fix it. Maybe he can delay things but who knows.
