On the 3rd of August, I took a huge step and published my first article here on hive, and here I am writing my monthly report, the first of its kind.
Articles written
I focused more on writing about women’s football and my fantasy premier league. I joined some contests and it was a nice way of killing writer’s block and getting my article to a larger audience. Luckily, I was runner-up in one and it helped as a massive boost in building my confidence.
I went into other genres apart from sports and the comments were encouraging. In total, I made 22 posts in 29 days.
I use both ecency and PeakD to type and publish articles but I tend to use ecency more because of the points one can earn by doing different things, I use these points to boost and promote my posts. Another way I earn this point is by posting my links on Twitter. This way I earn from Poshtoken and ecency.
Engagement
At first, my limited HP stood as a hindrance but @Princessbusayo and ate @Jane1289 delegated some to me. I also had some help from Erikah, his (Still not sure if it’s his or her) articles for newbies. They are helpful.
I try as much as possible to engage other people’s posts and twice I was on the engagement leaderboard list on ecency. Not that I aim for this, I just do my thing and noticed I was there, maybe I’ve been on the list more than that, but my main focus is to engage articles that I enjoy and leave the other things to sort themselves.
HP
I got 47 HP in August but I’m left with 40 HP. I delegated a few to some friends who just joined the platform. They use giftgiver sometimes but when the daily quota has been exceeded I step in to help. I wish to delegate more but for now, that will do.
Hive
Got some gifts from Poshtoken, ate Jane and King gozie. I have a total of 0.377Hive and it’s all in savings. Little? It isn’t to me and Since I have no plan of spending my earnings anytime soon, all my HBD will be staked and when I start earning more, I might hold some ahead of days when HBD pumps.
HBD
The Unstable stablecoin. I have it all staked. A total of 13.248 HBD was earned in August.
All these are my small wins in August and I value this a lot. As they say "celebrate your little wins". Hopefully, someday I’ll look back and smile while reading this.
September is here
Starting with hive power-up day and today I received a message from Hivebuzz about the new personal badge given to me. Even if 10 Hive is the least one can power up, I’m glad I was able to participate.
Articles
I will love to have a 30 days streak but I know that is impossible, I’m an intern at a construction firm and I can be called upon to do one thing or the other any day, also I have some vents to attend this month so writing every day isn’t a feasible goal.
However, I will try as much as possible to publish at least 20 posts this month. Also, I aim for 100 HP
this month, engage in more articles and make new friends.
