Back in July, former United States President Donald Trump was a keynote speaker at the Bitcoin Conference in Nashville, where he promised to make sure that the federal government never sells its Bitcoin holdings.
According to Hoskinson, “But the reality is, regardless of if the U.S. is pro-crypto or not, the world is moving on," adding that governments across the globe have rolled out regulatory frameworks, from Singapore to EU.
Hoskinson stated:
“As an American, it would be nice to see our country get back into the race and build things, but regardless, it’s not going to change the reality that the world will be decentralized,”.
Founder and managing partner of Sky Bridge Capital, Anthony Scaramucci forecasted that if Harri were to win, the handling of crypto regulation on her side would largely be the same as Trump.
Harris was endorsed by Scaramucci in the race and has also argued it is difficult to know which way Trump is going to go while Trump has signaled he is crypto-friendly as Trump is a politician who has no surity.
The CEO of Circle, a digital currency startup, Jeremy Allaire, stated that Congress has recently shown support for the industry and that crypto regulation would not turn into a partisan issue in the current American election cycle.
People will have to wait and see what the new government's stance on crypto will be after getting to the office.
