LeoFinance is taking things to the next level, not only building applications continuously but also doing organic marketing and stuff with the purpose of introducing more people to LeoVerse and to the Hive ecosystem. One of such is through ChainChatter which is spearheaded by a great marketer, Eric (@anomadsoul).
What is ChainChatter?
It is a podcast which was started by the LeoFinance team not so long ago with the purpose of bringing more content to the crypto community and also onboard other projects to Hive via the LeoFinance community pages. This is part of LeoFinance's aim to becoming a major media empire while building the best Web 3 applications on the blockchain.
The roundtable podcast happens every week on Thursdays around noon time EST and includes two invited founders (or developers) from different projects and decentralized applications (dApps) from other blockchains, Khal and anomadsoul as the moderator. The podcast runs for over an hour starting from the introduction of the guests to the founders sharing what they are doing, what they are building, what they are excited about, their projects and niche to general talks about crypto among and some other things.
Khal mentioned on his post that when the live podcast is over, they would continue off-cam with some more discussions and introducing LeoVerse and inviting them to create their community pages in LeoFinance. He shared further the founder guests observed that the LEO community is active and engaging which is a very positive feedback.
What topics can be added to the episodes?
I would be interesting to listen to the founders or guests include in their talks about the following (because I believe we can learn something from their answers):
- their personal risk management,
- investing strategies,
- how they deal with failures if they ever experienced them.
- their future plans if they have any
- whether they would consider building applications on the Hive blockchain (if they are not already here)
- their outlook in the future of crypto
Who can be the next guests?
The founders or developers of the different front-ends on Hive (i.e. Good Karma of Ecency, any dev from PeakD, from Liketu etc) Would be interesting to learn what they are developing to enhance the front-ends among other things.
Hive's witnesses. Apart from Blocktrades and Theycallmedan and a few others, it would be nice to see the others too on video and listen to them.
It would also be cool to have developers from Thorchain. It's one of the projects that I'm interested in and it will be awesome to listen to project developers on the ecosystem.
A wishful thinking (LOL) - would like to see Elon Musk in the roundtable even though he isn't a founder nor a developer of any blockchain. It would be very interesting to listen to his thoughts when he learns about the Hive blockchain and that it's the "Everything App" he is wanting to build.
Episodes and things learned
To date, there had been 4 ChainChatter episodes and I've had the opportunity to listen to all of the replays (since the live roundtable happens at the wee hours in my timezone).
My favorite would be the third episode with Dan of Speak Network and Matt of Splinterlands where the talks were more focused about Hive, its technology and some of its vulnerabilities.
It was interesting to hear Dan's response to a kind of hypothetical question on what he would do if he was the CEO of Hive (Hive doesn't have nor need one). He mentioned about creating a native DEX for Hive and give all the features of Uniswap 'coz he believes it is important to have one since we are vulnerable to liquidity attacks.
It was on this podcast that I learned there are millions of transactions per day on Hive and we are barely scratching the surface of what this blockchain can really do.
Also nice to hear via this episode about how the founders deal or balance their work and their family time.
Just in case you haven't watched any or all, here are the links:
- Episode 1, Avaxtars and HeroContinent
- Episode 2, Wombat and Gif Games
- Episode 3, Speak Network and Splinterlands
- Episode 4, Woo & Castles
It was great to listen to the founders talking about a common thing where they just start on things they were passionate about, building and not waiting for things or time to be perfect and them learning through their experiences.
Suggestion and Feedback
It would be great if the audience can ask questions to the guests at the end of the podcasts.
Eric is a very effective moderator and the topics or questions he initiates create or bring out very informative and insightful discussions.
Personal Thoughts
I love the fact that ChainChatter is turning to be a gateway or medium for more projects and people to learn about LeoFinance and Hive as a whole. It is actually beneficial in both ways, one being an indirect or subtle way of introducing LeoFinance and Hive to other founders and their communities. And through the episodes, the LeoVerse community also get to learn other things and opportunities outside of Hive. Add to that the things or lessons we may grasp and takeaway from the podcasts.
It would be good to see more applications getting built on this amazing blockchain.
This is in response to this week's LEO&HODL Challenge
