Was listening to Breads Space with their interesting topic, "Building True Fans for your Business" and while they were getting deep into the discussion, a thought came to me - what does it take to be a true InLeo or Hive fan?
Another question came right through, am I even one?
Well, let's see what I'm doing:
- Showing up every day,
- Getting involved (through my daily activities)
- Intentionally growing my stakes
- I'm looking long-term
Are these things enough to make me a true fan of Hive and InLeo?
I do not know. But what I am sure about is that I am interested and care about what is being built here and that I like to see Hive and the Leoverse grow and thrive. I believe the blockchain can do much more and I like to keep being involved. Hive is 'home' to me and I do see myself being here for many years.
It was mentioned on the Space that in order for a project to build true fans, it must get people involved, for them to keep showing up, and see if they care about what it is being built.
InLeo is doing that, at least that's how I see it. Those are some of the reasons why I'm sticking around. I also like the fact that Khal is active and engaging. And that Leoverse is making the community involved in the developments and initiatives, at least considering (listening to) what people want, building infrastructures and features that make the user experience better, incentivizing users, and what else. These I think make people feel they are valued and not left out.
So kudos to Leo for making us part of what you are building!
Back to the question, what does it take to be a true fan of Hive or InLeo?
- Does engaging make one a fan?
- Is showing up enough?
- Would upvoting other people's content make you one?
- Is having a long-term goal count?
I guess it depends on how each individual sees it or how one believes in this blockchain and the DApps within. This did remind me of a thread from TM which I happened to read from my "For You" feed (thank goodness to that feature and while it needs improvements, I still appreciate it).
Hard work sucks and only those who truly believe in something give it all. Those who have been reading TM would already know how he sees and treats Hive. He is very involved and his contribution to the ecosystem is very significant (it's enormous, if I may say so).
Some time ago, I learned that he was behind the growth of the DailyLeo newsletter. He initiated LeoGlossary and is continually growing it. I'm sure there are other things he is doing behind the scenes and I may not be aware of them. He's very bullish or positive about Hive and InLeo. And he is here every single day. He thinks big and he believes so much of what Hive or Leo can do or can become in the future.
That to me is a real, true fan believer. There is not an ounce of doubt that he is.
So how do you see yourself? Are you a true fan? Or perhaps the better question is, how much do you really believe in Hive or InLeo?
Let me just leave you with that and let's get into a reflection mode :)
