The Hive platform for social interaction is a blockchain based media. Most people on Hive today are more keen on making money through creating content than the socialization it offers. Hive offers opportunity to unlimitedly access and get across to people from different parts of the world while also making ends meet. Most people don't know that they can still have fun while contributing meaningfully to a platform that pays. For instance, on Hive, microblogging, #threads have been introduced. This future is common on Twitter and Facebook but now Hive through #leofinance has introduced it and it's working fine.
In this world, people like being in control of stuffs. They like to operate under an authority that oversees them. So social media cannot be fully decentralized. And because of the way many people in the world view social media, a platform like Hive cannot replace social media in the future.
