How to earn those upvotes you desire, build your account, foot your bills, and increase your stake on Hive.

in #hive-1679223 years ago

On Hive, a business transaction is conducted daily, with each passing minute. An individual creates a post and goes on to have it published. The ecosystem is open to giving their 2 cents to the post depending on the value it is perceived to bring. Not everyone gets lucky enough to receive the various 2 cents attention that is available in the reward pool. Most people receive a lot, others, a bit, and some, nothing at all.

In the real sense, every account that publishes a post is looking forward to receiving those votes, in a bit to build their account or foot their bills. There are lots of people who have waited for a long while to finally do. And of course, some accounts had a bit of insight, which help them receive the 2 cents as soon as they arrived. The latter could have been as a result of the lessons they received from the folks who introduced them to Hive. The former might have blindly been brought in with the promise of untold fortune without any map to get them started.

Regardless of who you introduced you to Hive, and whether they guided you or not, this post will try to explain how you can be sure of a 2 cents on your posts for as long as you are here. Let's get started.

Your Resource Credit

If you have been here for a few days, you'll realize that you need the energy to build your account just as you require energy to work in reality. For Hive, the energy needed to accomplish tasks, such as publishing, and creating comments is called Resource Credit (RC).
Screenshot_20220320-144942_1.jpg
As a beginner, your Resource Credit is given in the form of Hive Power (HP). This applies to all accounts created on Hive. Only, as a beginner, you are yet to earn rewards, therefore, you do not have access to HP, at the moment. You can either;

• Buy Hive and power them up as Hive Power.

• Have hive power delegated to you by the account that introduced you or other accounts.

• Receive a have power from https://giftgiver.site/

When you have your HP allocated to you, your journey through Hive has just begun. Understand that the level of activities you will be able to do on Hive at the beginning is dependent on your HP. Therefore, if you have a small amount, and you use your power-up, you will have to wait for quite a several days to be recharged.

Introduction Post

Yes, you just got here, but, who are you? It's official to make a proper introduction when you are meeting new people. It applies to Hive too. Once, you step foot here, and you have your account all set up, you need to tell us who you are. You can share personal information if you feel okay with that. We just want to know a bit about you so we can form a picture of who you are and what we should expect. You can move on to telling us what you will be writing about. This way, you can attract followers who are interested in your area of expertise.

Most accounts had been able to get on the right foot here. They brought amazing and creative introduction posts and they had been heavily rewarded. More votes mean they have a high chance of getting a good HP when their posts payout. For this reason, you should be creative with your introduction post as much as you can. It will give you an edge when it comes to building your Resource Credit as a result of the increased HP.

Engagement

We know you just got here, and that would mean, we are not familiar with you. You need to stand out in the crowd. And one of the effective ways to do this is to go round and talk to people on their posts through your comments. Engagement not only gets you noticed, but it also brings followers too. There is also a 50% chance that the accounts you visited will be tempted to visit your profile and learn more about you. It's a win-win for everyone and you have to do this.
Screenshot_20220320-150019_1.jpg
It is important to note that your engagement should be top-notch. You shouldn't be caught, with, "nice post", "thank you", etc. Give out as much value as you can in your comments to gain the desired visibility. Your comment could be a reflection of who you are, so, show us, who you are, in your opinions. It might help you to leave meaningful comments if you take out time and read the various posts you visit with concentration. You will be able to gain extra lessons that you can share with the author and other visitors.

Join Contests

Do not forget, the reason, we are trying to gain exposure and visibility is to gain as much HP as possible so your Resource Credit can be increased too. You will be in an advantaged position if some of your blog posts are contest posts that are created with all amounts of creativity.
Screenshot_20220320-150939_1.jpg
Joining a contest, will help you meet other people, and stand a chance of winning liquid Hive, or any other hive engine tokens that are given as rewards. Contests also tend to be voted upon by accounts with a higher voting value than 2 cents. This gives you bigger rewards and who knows, your post could end up on trending pages. Anything is possible you know, so, put in your best, and watch everything unfold.

Engage in Communities

The peculiar thing about Hive is the unique number of communities available for users. Choose a community or communities that center upon your interest, and build along with your fellow Hivers. It will be a wonderful way to gain exposure, make new friends, and solidify your relationship. In this way, you will begin to have a place in the heart of the people, because, by this time, they are beginning to get familiar with you. Seeing your posts on their feeds, will stop them in their tracks, and you will get a visit, an upvote, and lucky enough, an awesome comment.

Show up Everyday

The beginning might still be difficult but you shouldn't give up easily. Consistency is the mother of perfection, so you have to keep showing up every day. Amid the noise, those who are consistent, are noticed because they are always there. And you know what happens when people discover they can depend on you? They begin to trust you with their 2 cents. They shower you with all the support you need. Hive has a way of showing these levels of support massively and amazingly. You should aim to be among those who receive this support daily. First things first, show us, you are worthy of our support, and you will receive it.

Build your stake

I know, the promise of untold wealth brought you here, but, once you get here, I am hoping you will be seduced by the wonderful projects developing here, and choose to stay. While the rewards start dropping in, you should consider building your stake. This will help you give as much value as you received too. Your stake is your power, and you too can start giving posts and writings that are worthy of your 2 cents. And the circle of support continues, which promotes the growth of Hive. Your posts payout in HP and HBD, you can choose to use your HBD to foot your bills, while, your HP stays staked, and compounds as you receive curation rewards.

Conclusion

These are a few ways, business transactions are done on Hive. This is the basics, you will learn a lot of other ways in subsequent posts. Brace yourself, because, there is so much to learn. When you do, you will be glad you did. For the untold fortune, you were promised is on Hive, you have to believe it, and you'll be a part of the bees, that generate their share every day. Welcome on board.

Wonderful piece,I’ll learn from this and make good use of it

I am glad you liked it and found it useful. Thanks. 💚

Thanks for the insights, joined HIVE recently still trying to figure all of this out. Resource credits were really confusing. But I am starting to grasp the meaning of them. I guess I should use your advice and write a proper introduction story!

I am happy you found this useful. I followed through your profile and your introduction post was lacking a certain tag.

#introductionpost or #introduceyourself

You can't use it more than one though, but, I think, you can edit your post and add them.

Again, sorry, you missed it, but the good thing is that you will be able to tell someone you introduce to Hive to use the right tags. And they wouldn't have to make the same mistake.

Thanks for reading

Thanks again :)

I am shy to say I didn't know about this. But I am proud to say I have learnt this. Thank you @iskafan for sharing. I am your silent follower by the way.

Hahaha, don't be shy, there are so many things on Hive that we don't know. And we are happy to learn from each of us. You are welcome. Thanks for reading and for being my silent follower(I am flattered and blushing 🙈).

Starting out is daunting. I hope some newbies read this post and get encouragement from it.

I hope so too. Thanks. ❤️

I guess this will help the newbies and also existing users who doesn’t know all this tips. You are doing a great job dear @iskafan

Yes, I believe it too. Thanks alot. 🥰

You are most welcome

@iskafan it is always a delight to read your blog but this one hit right home girl....

I felt it when u said

Amid the noise, those who are consistent, are noticed because they are always there.

Thank you for this amazing piece, it is going to serve as my hive testament to others💃💃

I am glad you came around and I am happy this is going to help you. Please, take up as much energy as you can, and let's blow this place up with our presence. 🥺❤️

Thanks a lot for the lovely advices.

You are so welcome. ❤️

Thanks for the enormous tips, as you said it can get to a point where you'll be discouraged, but consistency will go a long way in reaching the goal.
I wished I saw this earlier.

Don't worry about when you see what and when. With Hive, there's never a bad timing. You can still catch up if you start anywhere. All you have to do is start.... From anywhere. I wish you luck. 💚

You have nailed it and I remembered when I first started, how it was then and how it is now, most of what you said, I have started working on them before now and I could see big changes.

I thought I would only be doing my thing on this platform without engaging in contests but little did I know, I need contest to get exposure. Here I am, enjoying it more now.

Your posts payout in HP and HBD, you can choose to use your HBD to foot your bills, while, your HP stays staked, and compounds as you receive curation rewards.

The last time I touched my HP which I powered down was two months ago or so when I needed money badly but since then, I have decided not to touch it but keep staking and I only live on HBD since my account is doing fine now. 😊😊

Thank you sis for this post. I hope others especially the newbies would see this and I will also share this link to those who are just joining on my contact.

You are welcome sis. I found out contests is a great way to gain exposure. Apart from the prize, you'll meet different people and different people will meet you. Especially those contests that has engagements as part of the rules.

I am happy, you have been able to restructure your funding, and you are doing well. Keep up the good work sis. ❤️💚💚

♥️♥️ Thank you. Good morning

Good morning to you too babe. Happy weekend 💞

I wish you the best today. I hope it becomes productive for us.

Amen!!!

Show up everyday was a great point. We all are growing together. This account is like a business so we are CEO. Why not show up everyday like I am showing up in this comment sections. Presence matters! :)

I am glad you agree. And yes, I agree, we ought to show up in the comment section too, consistently. Either way, it will bring positive results. Of which, the growth we desire is one of them. Thanks alot for reading and your contribution. I appreciate you sir. ❤️❤️

It would be my next mini goal to have a 0.02$ upvote so I would be able to do a little favour for my commenters too. Happy to found out that u reached atleast this point :)

Oh. I think I have reached more than 0.02$, my voting power is currently low. I just couldn't turn a blind eye to your wonderful comment. So, I had to use it to show my appreciation.

Don't worry, slowly and steadily, you'll get there. And I am positive, it will be above 0.02$. I am rooting for you, sir. 💚💚

Consistency is the mother of perfection,

I couldn't agree more. It's one of the good advice I received when I started here. This is a well-written and inspiring piece that will certainly help and encourage Hivers, especially newbies.

Great work. Keep it up! !PIZZA !LUV 🙂

Thanks alot babe. I am glad my thoughts complimented what you are already familiar with and it's matches. Thanks for the appreciation. 💚💚

Thank you very much. ❤️

Nice one @iskafan, I think this blog will be very good read for newbies who are just finding their way on hive.

You've come a long way, seems like yesterday I was reading your intro post. Keep building

!PIZZA, !LUV

I am happy you found it useful.

I know right? Look how time flies? 🥺. I'll keep building. Thanks for the encouragement. 💚💚

Thanks for these tips for beginners. It can really be frustrating making a huge effort and not getting rewarded, while you see others do. I still need some support to understand how hive works (I am a returned drop out) and I hope to keep reading nice explanations.

If it's getting more and more frustrating as the day goes on, I think, you need to start joining contests, and becoming a part of various communities that you like. It will be a great step.

You are so welcome ❤️

Easy and well understanding post.
Thanks for the enlightenment

You are most welcome. 💚

I do wish the intro posts were better curated. I've seen intro posts that were amazing, but only got a few upvotes worth a penny or two, then intro posts that were not much more than "hi" get a hundred buck from a few big accounts that upvoted them.

We need to figure out a way to make this more consistent. All intro posts should get a fairly large upvote, both to motivate them and also to give them enough HP that their RC won't constantly be wanting.

But anyways, that aside, good info in this post.

!PIMP

Maybe, those intro post that wasn't noticed the authors didn't use the right tags that would help them to be found. I know this because @heyhaveyamet have done a great job of finding these new users even in the rut.

Thanks for reading and for leaving your thoughts. Well appreciated. ❤️

You must be killin' it out here!
@dbooster just slapped you with 5.000 PIMP, @iskafan.
You earned 5.000 PIMP for the strong hand.
You can still slap 2/2 more people today.

Thanks for this piece ma'am!

You are most welcome darling. 💞

Resource credit card was my biggest challenge for the longest time until I got some HP delegated to me by a friend. I started my Hive journey with hardly any information. I was confused a lot of the time.

Showing up everyday and being consistent is so important. Now that I’ve begun to do it, I can see the benefits.

I can relate to the resource credit part because someone delegated to me too. It's great you have started this journey, and I know you'll do well. I wish you luck. ❤️❤️

😊Thank you!

You are welcome 🤗

@iskafan Thanks for this post. I am pretty new to the hive and have read a cpl different post on how to grow and what can be expected in the way of maybe making some coin here. I Started by creating a community and my first ever post in that community. I never even did my introduction post, lol! Then @lovesniper left me a wonderful comment along the lines of" Cool dude you just went straight for the jugular. Why don't you simmer down and get yourself involved in a silver haired community. And bro, Introduce yourself", SOOOOOO, I had to back track a bit. But then I told my girlfriend @justjen71 about what was happening with my post on the community post. I was like NO WAY and she was like GTFO. Now she has been wanting to blog for a long time and once I told her she was sold on it!! But your post her, is something I neglecte4d to tell her about, I barley just found out about it!! So hopefully with the way you broke it down she will get even MORE excited about writing and posting her pics. Also lovely family and I wanted to tell ya a joke based off of one of those pics ready?.... Why did the Mushroom get invited to the party? Cuz he is a FUNGI!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA... ok ok I have one more... RDY?... Why don't cannibals eat clowns? Cuz... they taste FUNNY.... BWAHAHAHAHAHHAA!!! Ok, Ill leave you alone now.

Have A Happy Day And Don't Forget To Be Awesome!!!

It's great love snipers set you back on track. And I hope you've had a wonderful stay since then

I hope your girlfriend find Hive to be worth her excitements cos I can't wait to meet her in her writings and her pictures, of course.

Cool jokes.... Particularly loved the clown one....

Cheers to you. Have a wonderful day and don't forget to be awesome too. ❤️❤️💚💚
