Hello Hive Friends!
Hatton National Bank, a leading private sector bank in Sri Lanka, recently partnered with Daraz, South Asia's leading online consumer goods e-commerce platform, to further expand the online presence of Sri Lankan businesses.

Commenting on this, HNB MSME Assistant General Manager, Kailavasan Indravasan said, “Given the current economic climate, the possibility of opening non-online stores is very low. But now due to technology internet has become a very convenient platform for businesses. As a bank with a large SME portfolio, we believe that we should provide our customers with access to new opportunities and pave the way for their growth.
Our partnership with Daraz opens new channels and markets for our customers regionally. Therefore, we hope that many people will use this unique opportunity to further expand their business activities online." Namely.
Furthermore, through this agreement, HNB customers are exempted from the fee payable for the first three months. Customers who have established new businesses are given unlimited access to educational facilities provided by Daraz University.
We are delighted with this partnership with the bank, which will enable HNB's wide-spread SMEs to strengthen their e-commerce capabilities. E-commerce has the potential to improve the quality of life for businesses of all types and sizes.
It also provides a profitable platform for SMEs to explore new markets. Given the broad reach, large active buyers and the platform's powerful technology, this partnership will enable small businesses to reach millions of consumers across the country by leveraging our technical support for marketing and logistics." said Mr. Rakhil Fernando, Managing Director of Daraz.
