I think the following rule is commonly shared by the majority of Hivers. The Hive does not pay for being listed on exchanges (period). It's a matter of principles and being honest. I also think it's a sort of bribery that many centralised projects resort to cut corners. And it made some exchanges fat and demanding thousands of dollars for merely providing a service they will benefit from.
On the other hand, listing Hive or HBD on new markets results in broader Hive adoption, Hive liquidity, availability and etc. This is good and demanded by the community.
The following issue arises - how to get Hive listed on various markets while staying true to community guidelines. There must be a way to achieve both goals at the time at the same time. The saying in the title means exactly that - to kill two birds with one stone.
I usually the process of listing Hive to markets used to rely on developers or other users who took up the responsibility to to contact Market employee.
Some of you some of you may be remember that we landed our greatest listing for free, but eventually we paid for it anyways to the user in the middle (don't ask me, it was voted through xD).
Hive has grown and matured since then and as far as I understand, Hive has acquired more institutional approach and @guiltyparties has taken on position to be conducting talks with markets' representatives.
Upon my kind request, @guiltyparties have started the process of listing Hive on stakecube.net exchange, but somehow the process was blocked by them on silly pretexts.
Still, I think it's an important player and Hive users (myself included) will benefit from listing.
How to get it done then?
This particular exchange provides crypto faucets and divide it into two categories
- Premium, that supposed to be self refilling (by Stakecube)
- Community faucets filled by donations.
Solution
What if we (i have already done first steps, but will be happy to transfer the account and whole project to more esteemed individual) create an incentive to make it more profitable to stakecube list Hive without paying the exchange for it.
Let's offer to pay stakecube users and tell stakecube about it. Pay via Stakecube's Hive faucet top-ups on condition that Stakecube will list Hive and create a faucet with possibility of peer review.
We don't need to raise thousands of dollars for that. Although the amount must be significant enough to draw attention of stakecube's staff. I guess few hundred dollars would be sufficient enough, I guess.
How to:
I have created an account @cube4stake which is the 50 % beneficiary (for starters), it will collect Hive for transferring into community Hive stakecube faucet separate from my other funds.
It will follow my trail.
All liquid funds will be traded for HBD and put into HBD savings or powered up as HP.
All H-E tokens will be powered down and sold, Swap.Hive will be swapped to Hive and will fall under above rule.
Will create weekly reports on income and current account value. Will try to advertise it to Stakecube on twitter and to lesser extent on their discord.
If conditions from 1st point are met, I would start powering down, to empty the account and send weekly payments to faucet address. Will try to achieve this within 15 weeks.
If conditions from point 1 aren't met by 31st May 2023 I will power down and transfer all funds to @lordbutterfly with an aim to hire Wikipedia editor to create proper entry on Hive. Yes, there's no Wikipedia article on Hive
What do you think?
Let me call @gtg @trumpman @dalz @edicted @priyanarc @taskmaster4450 @arcange @khal
Sorry for that, but I'm not renowned enough to be noticed.
What is stakecube?
For those who don't know it's a multiapp market exchange claiming to have more than 125,000 users
About myself, I just want to say I paid a significant role in collecting funds for creating signa-hive diesel pool on which you can read more

Nothing fancy, but it's listed and it's a example that Hive can help other blockchains.
