Hive is a compounding machine and if approached with the right attitude and mindset could have a significant impact on lives financially and other benefits that could uplift us in our day-to-day endeavors.
Hive is of two unique components, social and financial, never did we have such a platform until the present to be opportune to tap into a platform such as Hive freely with global accessibility. This is the benefit of Web 3.0, allowing us to tokenize almost anything on the blockchain.
Hive's Potential
If we can grasp Hive's potential from what it is today and what it could evolve into in a couple of years, that will be the beginning of the right attitude toward Hive.
Some of us might not be able to see beyond the present or see no hope for Hive in the future which is okay as none of us know the future we can only predict based on present resources and capabilities which is the reason for my We owe it to ourselves to make Hive great at the end of my contents. Hive has no big brother to rely on to make it a success, it has no one to blame, and its success is dependent on you and me. Everyone one of us has a role to play.
We are interacting with a blockchain that is capable of housing most things we can come up with. We often refer to older members of Hive in this case but it is the practical way to tell a story about Hive as it was never like this five years ago, it looked boring, with just one accessible interface to begin with, and no communities. You could only write a blog and that was it, forget about gaming on Hive, it was never a thing.
And I never saw Hive hosting games and other DApps back then if you ask me, now imagine what could be built on Hive within the next five years that isn't on Hive presently.
The potential for Hive is vast, we have to keep scratching its surface to unveil its capabilities and keep building. Some might think otherwise, especially Bitcoin Maxis, I suggest they go blog on the Bitcoin blockchain.
Giving Back To Hive
Hive is not perfect and never will it attain perfection but we can make it better, we can get it to be a place everyone feels at home to spend time daily. That is the goal, that is my wish for Hive and I believe most on Hive share a similar goal. The difference however compared to other centralized platforms out there is that everyone has a role to play.
It gets to that point in your Hive journey after you have grasped its capability, after it has impacted you positively, you will develop the protection habit as any business owner would do.
You have every reason to want the best for Hive because you now have assets in the ecosystem, assets that keep growing.
While the developers are doing their part by building infrastructures to better the ecosystem. The none devs like myself can support in various ways.
I strongly believe the criticizing habit should be left at the door out there in the centralized world, bearing in mind we are dealing with a young technology delivering applications as we have in Web 2.0 is asking too much at this stage. This is where we have to cultivate the habit of offering solutions rather than the blame game that is of no benefit to the ecosystem.
You seriously don't want to be a parasite, build with the community, it pays to build and personally I am experiencing the benefit of it. Tell yourself you want to earn X amount from Hive monthly and it will take me X amount of Hive Power, HBD, or from other projects on the ecosystem, with such a mindset, you are invariably contributing to the sustainability of Hive.
Conclusion
We could go on and on about ways to give back to Hive but am sure we get the idea. For relationships to thrive, be it marital, friendship or business there has to be a mutual desire for the relationship to be a success, having one party with different intent is often the cause of failures in relationships. Hive is no different, with a common goal that we thankfully possess on Hive, I just don't see us being failures.
Hive has grown to be part of my everyday life and I just want to be part of it as it evolves into the future.
We owe it to ourselves to make Hive great
