Leothreads: The Endless Non-finance Conversations You Can Create With Nesta Replies

I haven't used #leothreads for quite a while now and this was because the last time I used it, it was laggy, so this made it difficult for me to use it.

I was going to reply to a thread but then, think I lost the conversation in the whole process of clicking and having to look for that particular discussion, but I was discouraged and I left it. However, there's been a series of updates thus far.

For a project that was launched 8 weeks ago, which was initially only accessible to PC, it's gone from selecting the type of device you can access it on to the smoothest interface on the Leofinance website.

When it launched, there were concerns about how #threading could become a potential spamming of the entire Blockchain with short-form content, but the way it's built, is like a comment section on the Leo UI, meaning people can potentially create from 1 to 10,000 threads in a day.

Although It still feels like a place where you can only talk about crypto or finance, I like the fact that the discussion is being diversified. One advantage of short-form content is that people can constantly make acquaintances without having to announce themselves using long-form content.

I know a lot of splinterlands players who find it challenging to create long-form Content and this is why I think leothreads is a way for these guys to microblogging without hassles.

One thing about leothreads is that it's getting better, we're seeing seamless innovations from web2 apps, so far, it's been majorly Twitter.
But then, the main updates have come from popular demands and so far, the biggest one for me has been Nesta replies.

This simply adds spice to interactions when threading. Now the function of Nesta replies is to create a connection between a thread and the first comment that was made on that thread, this way it's easier for a threader to reply with one single click, instead of two clicks which originally consisted of opening the thread, before clicking on reply.

Because the comment is overlaying from the thread, it creates three impressions, first, it allows the owner of the thread to reply quicker, secondly, it gives other potential threaders the knack to join the conversation, thirdly it creates a smoothness, a better way to quickly transition from comment to thread within seconds.

I tried out Nesta replies immediately after I saw this post from @leofinance the smoothness is beyond description.

It's easier to establish seamless one-time interaction even if users still have to click twice when they're replying to the subsequent comments on their threads.

I think this was done for it to be easier for a threader to navigate through different threads without having to be stuck reading through a thread's conversation.

This new feature is absolute class if you ask me and by far the most in-demand and most appreciated feature on the thread interface.

We have to admit that threads create the options for seamless interaction amongst people who aren't even following themselves.

This means that there is absolutely no "followership" restrictions" that exists on the blockchain, which means that people can get to form new alliances, and improve their networking skills while even earning LEO for non-finance-related conversation.

Leothreads can tip the scale when managed properly this means that on a larger format where we have more users threading, let's say 50k threaders on a daily, it could be easy to record close to one million threads without even counting the comments or engagement on the threads.

This is of course only hypothetical but not impossible. With time people can create more non-finance-related conversations because I think at the moment, some people still think leothreads is exclusively finance.

To break this belief, it's possible to create a contest where users can write posts about the series and endless conversations people can talk about on thread, I think in no time, more threading will happen. For now, Nesta replies are bringing a whole lot of conversations and I think we can follow this up with more exciting features

Truly the nested reply update is amazing, it's really crypto Twitter indeed and the team is working effortlessly to make it easier for users to use

Yeah, that's true, the update is silky and I think it's one that every threader will continue to applaud.

Utility, that we have, now we build ease of use in it.. that's beau..

Woah, hadn’t heard of this…is this the project blank they were talking about?

No, no. This is a Twitter-like project on leofinance where people can create short form Contents without having to worry about spamming the Blockchain.

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

I guess I have to start using threads to feel the vibes too.

Yeah you should, thing is that it's not even restricted to finance contents alone.

That's amazing. I can talk about anything I want.

Does it have limited character count like Twitter?

Yeah about 240 character or so, anything in general. I talked about it in my post, one can write anything. If it's exciting, it might earn some leo

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

Did you say earn some Leo? How's that possible when you mentioned we can talk about general topics?

That's the beauty of it, although nothing is guaranteed, but one can still manage to earn Leo for writing smart conversations.

Wow. That's amazing. I'll check it out soon. Thanks for explaining.

Dear @josediccus,
May I ask you to review and support the Dev Marketing Proposal (https://peakd.com/me/proposals/232) we presented on Conference Day 1 at HiveFest?
The campaign aims to onboard new application developers to grow our ecosystem. If you missed the presentation, you can watch it on YouTube.
You cast your vote for the proposal on Peakd, Ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.

Thank you!

Alright, I'll check it out the proposal, I'll check the YouTube video as well as I didn't follow the Hivefest live stream.

Thank you, looking forward to getting your support for the proposal ⏳🙂

Wow, seeing this I just found out I have a lot of places to cover on the hive platform, I have been seeing the leothreads but I have less knowledge of it and now that I see this post I think I need to do some diggings about it, I guess I need to follow up on your post to Know more about this and I can take it one step at a time ..
5 months here still makes me feel like a newbie 😔

I am also seeing a great potential for LeoThreads. With the continuous development, I will not wonder if we have millions of users just after a few years.

!1UP

In a year time, it won't be bad If we can boast of 200k users of leothreads in general, I think we've got the potential and the product, it won't be bad to point out the fact that we would need a lot of creative marketing as this is what we've always lacked for a long time now.

I am not currently updated with the plans on LeoThreads, but I think we need to develop it separately from the LeoFinance mobile app. Personally, the marketing for both is different.

Btw, what do you think about rebranding LeoThreads for marketing sake?

I love leothreads and have been using it a lot this days, the latest upgrade has been amazing.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah bro, the latest update is amazing, I think I'll keep using it as well. This one feels really nice. The last time time I used leothreads, now is even better. Hahaha.

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

Good to see you back on Threads mate :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thank you, I guess it'll be difficult to ignore the new changes as well.

This leothread is a good thing, I imust say

To the ecosystem and future of microblogging, yes.

Nice

Am loving the upgrades being worked on LeoThreads, bit by bit it going to become that killer DApp we long for.

It loooks awesome, it personally impressed me. I was looking at the sleekiness too. I hope it would not lag at all. I'm not thinking it would because it majorly available on the web version.

I think it's a good change but I haven't been using threads. I really should but there just isn't enough time as I barely have enough time for things like my own feed right now. I remember using the threads when it first came out and I wasn't impressed. So I wonder how the experience is now compared to then.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The experience is absolutely better. I didn't quite use it at the beginning because of the way it lags but at the moment, the experience is smooth and the interface is amazing. I think I'll use it more often.
