One of the decisions you that would favour you this year is investing in yourself and not in physical assets. Prioritize investing in yourself by learning a new skill or improving your already existing skills. Your ability to make money this year is tied to it. Irrespective of how poor your background is, you can create wealth for yourself by spending 3 -5 months of this year to upskill and invest in your growth. If you are tech inclined, here are the top 18 in-demand tech roles for 2024. Pick any one of your choice, get resources online and focus on learning.

  1. Artificial Intelligence Engineer

  2. Business Analysts

  3. Cloud/Network Architect

  4. Cybersecurity Analyst

  5. Database Administrators

  6. Data Analyst/Data Engineers/Data Scientist

  7. Database Architect & Administrator

  8. DevOps Engineer

  9. Digital Marketer

  10. IT Security/Information Security Analyst

  11. Machine Learning Engineer

  12. Site Reliability Engineer

  13. Software Engineer/Software Developer

  14. Product Manager

  15. Programmer

  16. Project Manager/Programme Manager

We will win. Many persons will buy one course or the other to upskill, ultimately to be able to increase their earning potential. But here is the catch: the money you hope to make lies in the implementation of the course, not in the buying. It will surprise you to know that some persons will buy a course and never open it to implement its content. Among the numerous habits you hope to change this year, the habit of buying a course and refusing to learn and implement its content should be included.

Investing in yourself is so worthwhile. Glad to see Project Management is on the list. I find it's a super useful skill and will continue to be in the future.

Lots of development skills are on your list too. I might need to consider brushing up on my programming.

Oh really? I think you should really. I am actually learning a programming language (C#) and it's been two weeks now and it's amazing and I see myself getting a job in the next few months. Project management is so good too.

Did you say improving on a programming language? I mean when you said "I might need to consider brushing up on my programming"

What I really meant is: I've got learn enough coding to where it's useful. I've been learning Python on my own for a few months. My motivation is to develop a software solution to a problem and perhaps make some money in the process.

Oh that is a good one. I once had a dream of building apps but as reality tricks by the day, I think I can go with getting a job with it but for now, I keep learning. I am rooting for you though. Thanks again.
