Saigon, 1965. Announcer Cronauer is recruited by the United States Armed Forces to take a position on the military station. Cronauer, accustomed to the relaxed lifestyle of his last destination, Crete, must face the strict rules of Sergeant Major Philip Dickerson in Vietnam. The radio presenter's humor and politically incorrect style will make him enemies in high command, but he will earn the sympathy and respect of the soldiers at the base. This is how Good Morning, Vietnam begins.
