It's very last minute, but I am officially making it to Rosarito for HiveFest this year. There were some hiccups along the way which made me move from a definite yes to more of a 50/50 shot if I would end up making it there.
But some plans changed and I am a last minute kind of guy. Flights got booked today and I'll be rolling out in ~48 hours to make my way to HiveFest.
At HiveFest, I'll be giving a presentation about LEO and where we are headed. Some MASSIVE announcements will be made in that presentation (did you expect anything less?) and I'll also be having tons of fun at the different activities there.
Threadcasts and Streaming
@taskmaster4450 will be hosting a Threadcast for the event. You'll be able to find links to them on each day of the event and live discussions will be happening.
These Threadcasts are a part of HiveFest. They are THE place to be if you want the live interactions from the digital audience. I'll be keeping my iPad on me and active in the Threadcasts as well with pics, videos and more.
LeoShorts
I am currently sprinting with the devs to roll out LeoShorts - which is short-form video on Threads with 3Speak as the official backend.
My goal is to get it rolled out before I hop on the flight to Mexico. Ideally, this means that everyone at HiveFest will be able to just whip out their phones and record some quick clips of what's happening and then post them on Threads without any hassle.
Imagine HiveFest with short-from, Instagram Story type of videos? That's legendary. We're working overtime right now to try and make that happen.
Activities and Meet-and-Greets
If you're going to be at HiveFest, drop a comment below. At Vegas this past week I was able to meet a bunch of Hivers and that was awesome.
HiveFest is going to be like that but on 100x scale. It was just a few of us dApp founders at the Vegas Conference. HiveFest will obviously be a lot more Hivers to shake hands and meet.
Dan and Matt have done an awesome job from what I've heard in organizing events and cool things for all of us to do together. I look at this as like a corporate retreat but for... a decentralized blockchain.

What Are You Most Excited About?
I'm excited to meet Hivers and also present some of the amazing things happening with LEO behind-the-scenes.
LEO's monthly active users have skyrocketed and yesterday we had our first influencer's Threadcast where he got more than 1,100 live Hive Comments replying to him during his X Spaces show.
There's a lot on the horizon for onboarding new users to Hive. This is going to be amazing.
