I Asked ChatGPT What it Thinks of Hive | Its Answers Will SHOCK You

As I'm sure many of you are doing as well, I've been playing with OpenAI's GPT-3 platform. There are so many ways to leverage this and the potential is limitless.

Chat-GPT is a large language model AI. Basically, it was trained on a large data set and you can ask it questions. Think about it as if Google had its own brain. Instead of searching for an answer to your question using links on the internet, Chat-GPT will search for you and spit out whatever the most relevant answer is to your question.

The crazy thing about Chat-GPT is that you can get into the weeds with it. For example, you can give it prompts like: "pretend you're a 10 year old and give me the answer to XYZ".

It's wild once you start to really mess around with its capabilities.

This morning I was wondering what Chat-GPT would have to say about the Hive blockchain... The answers might shock you. I found them to be insanely on-point.

In this post, I'll share the prompts and answers I got. This was my first time playing with Chat-GPT in a Hive-related way. I have much more deep-rooted prompts I can give Chat-GPT but I've essentially created the base platform to get some surface-level answers about the ecosystem.

Ask Chat-GPT What it Thinks of Hive

Prompt: what is the Hive blockchain?

GPT:

"Hive is a blockchain platform that was created as a fork of the Steem blockchain in 2020. It was created to address issues that some users had with the Steem blockchain, such as centralization and lack of governance. Hive aims to provide a decentralized and community-driven platform for social media and online communities. It uses a consensus mechanism called Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) and features a token economy where users can earn rewards for creating and curating content on the platform."

Accurate!

Prompt: Does this Hive platform have the potential to gain adoption?

GPT:

"It is difficult to predict the future adoption of any blockchain platform, including Hive. However, the fact that it was created as a fork of the Steem blockchain, which already had a large and established community, suggests that it may have a head start in terms of adoption. Additionally, the features and goals of Hive, such as decentralization and community-driven governance, align with current trends in the blockchain industry and may attract users who are looking for a more decentralized alternative to existing social media platforms.

However, it is worth noting that the adoption of any blockchain platform also depends on various factors such as the quality of the user experience, the level of support and development from the community, and competition from other platforms.

In any case, it's important to do your own research and make your own assessment before investing in any blockchain project."

Also accurate. Hive has an established community and that means we have the hardcore layer-0 that we need to build upon as a foundation. This is something all of us have talked about. This being said, blockchain adoption is a tough problem to solve.

Prompt: What can be done to improve the user experience of Hive?

Here's where I start to pull on some threads that GPT is giving me. Nothing to crazy, we'll keep things easy for this first round.

GPT:

There are several ways that the user experience of Hive could potentially be improved:

  1. User-friendly interfaces: Creating user-friendly interfaces for accessing and interacting with the Hive blockchain, such as wallets and dApps, can make it easier for users to engage with the platform.
  2. Improved scalability: Increasing the scalability of the Hive blockchain can help to improve the speed and efficiency of transactions, which can enhance the overall user experience.
  3. More dApps: Building a diverse ecosystem of decentralized applications (dApps) on top of the Hive blockchain can provide users with more ways to interact with the platform and access different types of content or services.
  4. Community engagement: Encouraging community engagement and involvement can help to foster a sense of ownership and investment among users, which can lead to a more positive user experience.
  5. Education and awareness: Providing resources and education on the benefits and use cases of Hive can help to increase awareness and understanding of the platform among potential users, which can lead to more adoption.
  6. Marketing: Hive should have more marketing campaigns to promote the platform and its features to a wider audience.

It's important to note that these are just a few examples and there could be other ways to improve the user experience of Hive, and the effectiveness of each method may vary.

Hmmmm more marketing and education... Better user interfaces.. Sound familiar?

Prompt: What do you think Hive Interfaces are currently lacking in the user-friendly department?

Not a selfish question to ask at all! ;)

GPT:

There are several areas where Hive interfaces may currently be lacking in terms of user-friendliness:

  1. Simplicity: Some Hive interfaces may be overly complex or difficult for new users to navigate, which can make it difficult for them to understand how to use the platform.
  2. Consistency: Some Hive interfaces may not have a consistent design or user experience across different apps, which can be confusing for users.
  3. Accessibility: Some Hive interfaces may not be accessible to users with disabilities or those who are not fluent in the language used, which can limit the platform's reach.
  4. Mobile compatibility: Some Hive interfaces may not be optimized for use on mobile devices, which can make it difficult for users to access the platform on-the-go.
  5. Usability: Some Hive interfaces may not have intuitive features that make it easy for users to engage with the platform, such as a good search engine or menu, or other helpful tools.
  6. Inadequate tutorials: Some Hive interfaces may not provide adequate tutorials or onboarding resources to help new users understand how to use the platform.

It's worth noting that these are just some examples and there may be other areas where Hive interfaces could be improved in terms of user-friendliness. It's important for the developers to continuously improve and optimize the interfaces to make it easy for the users to use.

Definitely some great points here. Stuff that everyone on Hive has been calling for from the top UIs. I think LeoFinance is aiming to solve this stuff but it's not easy to do. User Experience and ease of use is going to be a leading narrative for Hive in 2023.

Prompt: Do you think the Hive-backed dollar (HBD) will play a significant role in Hive's adoption?

GPT:

The Hive-backed dollar (HBD) is a stablecoin that is pegged to the value of the US dollar and is backed by Hive tokens. It can be used to facilitate transactions on the Hive blockchain and provide a more stable form of value storage than other cryptocurrency tokens.

It is possible that HBD could play a significant role in Hive's adoption, as it could help to increase the usability of the platform by providing a more stable form of value storage. This can make the platform more attractive to businesses and merchants looking to use cryptocurrency for transactions, as well as to individuals looking to store value. Additionally, it could also help to attract users who are looking for a more stable form of cryptocurrency to use on the platform.

However, it's worth noting that the adoption of any blockchain platform or cryptocurrency is influenced by various factors, such as market conditions, competition, and the overall usability of the platform. It's also important to note that the use of HBD is not the only way to achieve stability on the platform, there are other ways to achieve price stability on the platform such as using other stablecoins or using the Hive token itself.

It's also important for the community to continuously educate the people about the benefits of HBD and how it can be used on the platform. In any case, it's important to do your own research and make your own assessment before investing in any cryptocurrency.

I wanted to see if GPT could get into the details of more financially-related topics. Looks like we'll need to prompt it better to get more numbers and calculations. I do think this is possible, but I haven't trained it yet through prompts to give me more detailed responses. On the surface, a good assessment of HBD!

Prompt: What are the top 3 apps on the Hive blockchain right now?

Alright this one was funny and a loaded question... I wanted to see if LeoFinance would get a mention... The above prompts are the only ones I fed it. Nothing related to LeoFinance at all... And yet:

GPT:

As of my knowledge cut-off in 2021, the top 3 apps on the Hive blockchain are:

  1. Hive.blog: Hive.blog is the main social media platform on the Hive blockchain, it allows users to create and share content, as well as interact with other users.
  2. Peakd: Peakd is a social media and content discovery platform on the Hive blockchain, it allows users to post and share content, as well as discover and curate content from other users.
  3. Leofinance: Leofinance is a decentralized finance (DeFi) application built on the Hive blockchain, it allows users to earn rewards for participating in the platform's token economy and for providing liquidity to the platform's lending pools.

It's worth noting that this list might change over time as more dApps are being built on the Hive blockchain, and the popularity of dApps can also change over time.

It's also important to note that the popularity of a dApp does not necessarily indicate its quality, it's important to research and evaluate a dApp before using or investing in it.

Obviously GPT is trained on the social content side of the spectrum. It's not picking up Splinterlands activity. Instead, it's picking up sites that have the most Hive-related content / social activity.

But LeoFinance made an appearance! You love to see that. ❤️ you GPT!

Next on My Chat With AI...

I have some deeper prompts ready for GPT. I'll do a part 2 to this post later on. I think the responses so far were great. Nothing was inaccurate. It was pretty surface level, so we'll see in the next post if we can trick GPT or get it to give us detailed responses. Perhaps calculations on rewards pool metrics, etc.

There's limitless ways to use this. It's really wild when you start to dig in deep.

Have you played with GPT yet? What do you think of GPT's opinions on Hive? Leave a comment below!

Did the AI choose the title for the post as well :)

So detailed indeed, i have nkt tried this app but it looks as if the level of accuracy is high too. Am looking forward to the second edition.

Wish you all the best

!LUV reading this 💓 I was surprised how good these responses were. Scalability shouldn't be that high on the list though. We're already super scalable compared to most chains. But I'm not sure about witnesses handling 100M active users. Waiting to see part 2 of this!

Impressive, I have heard of the AI, how good it can be, in giving answers but I didn't really buy the idea of it, now I have read how of help it can be.

This is a good work @khaleelkazi

I've been complaining about user friendlyness for a while now. I'm glad to see even AI agrees with me.

Next time ask it the difference between hive.blog and peakd.com
Two years here and I still don't understand the difference/point of different front ends.

Many people are involved with this chat gpt, and are using for the content publishing. Do you think it's plagiarism?

I read about it the other day. Glad that you are listening and see where improvement may come from. The next frontier in technology is coming strong. Leofinance can incorporate the whole thing in there.

Can you make a post where we can interact with chat-gpt?
I heard there are quite a few scams out there.

!ChatGpt Can you tell pouchon that we can interact with chatgpt here

Yes, you can interact with me here by asking questions or giving me prompts to respond to. Is there something specific you would like to know or talk about?

I thought everyone already did this lol, this was about the first few things I did with the bot. I was actually also surprised by what I found, it also interestingly described Steem well and why it is centralized and why Hive is decentralized? I was amazed

Yeah @urun and I noticed that a while ago. It's not that far off, but it probably has read all Hive/Steem posts ever, so it also resembles somewhat "common knowledge" and that makes it at least 5% off on everything.

or maybe even 50% xE

I was surprised how ChatGPT could be so accurate to know some information about Hive. When you asked for the top 3 Dapps on Hive, I am happy it added Leofinance too. So much accuracy and great answers from the Chat.

As a professional copy-editor, and a lover of Star Trek TNG, I felt like I was reading a slightly less-advanced version of Lt. Cmdr. Data -- excellent summary of everything we have been doing and saying in Chain News for two years, in a wonderfully round tone for a mere "thing."

This AI said exactly what it is in hive. There are lots of things to ask regarding hive blockchain to this AI. Let's see what it response.

Amazing this AI knows so many details about Hive, like Steem fork although we are so small. But well, it’s probably his access to all the data of the internet and there are certainly some articles about the fork back then.
I agree with the improvement points: Easy to use, good and intuitive Interfaces and a vivid community are main points for further adoption. 👍🏻

I'm sure it's a large compilation of things that have been said about Hive, but that is pretty amazing!

Very interesting, right on point, and good questions as well.

!ChatGpt What is LeoFinance

LeoFinance is a blockchain-based platform built on the Hive blockchain that allows users to create and share content, as well as earn cryptocurrency through their contributions to the community. It is a community-driven platform that is focused on decentralized finance (DeFi) and the intersection of blockchain technology and finance. Users can earn cryptocurrency by creating and curating content on the platform, as well as through other activities such as staking and liquidity provision.

Wooooowww I guess it has all of our posts to draw from in order to generate answers, that is the culmination of all our opinions and articles 😆 the wisdom of the hive mind.

I’ve been listening to some Hausa rap and wanted to learn how the grammar works. Not too many resources online but chatbot explained it better than anything I found. Also learned about some interesting minor religions and underground artists, and anime.

The bot is a bit preachy at times but amazing. This is only version 1 we are using or is it the newest version?

Wow!

All of these suggestions have been made by humans. Pretty good for an AI.

I thought Taskmaster was channelling it! !PIZZA

I did some experiment more focused on Leofinance.io a couple of days back. Can be read in here.

Its nice to see LeoFinance mentioned.

Interesting stuff, thanks for sharing.

These responses are pretty correct and to the point. Best thing is that it has deep query mechanism that extracts data from even unknown sources.

LeoFinance in top 3 frontends is the best answer.

Nicely done. 👍😁😁

As advanced people think this thing is it's really not. It's just pulling content that other people wrote all over the web and then compiling it into a unique article. Now the speed in which it does it and can figure it out is impressive but is it really AI if it's just pulling content that other people have already written? Reminds me of a article spinner from the early 2000's but more advanced and automated.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea, all curent form of narrow AIs basicly feed on old data generated by humans. Even the art ones, they need base images to pull and compile from. So basicly you will always get same things just rewrittne and compiled. It is usefull if you want some basic info, and priciples, but dont expect groundbraking inovative stuff :)

You really had spent a long time with ChatGPT and seriously it didn't made you bore with those surprising Answers!

Great way to get suggestions from this A.I where we can improve more.

More marketing, awareness and education bruh that's what everyone is doing and talking bout... Ai knows everything.

Interesting. Looking forward to see next part.

Oh wow, that's pretty accurate for Hive! Leofinance mention would definitely make any dev proud.
I've not really tried chatGPT. The 2x I tried, it said it's on its capacity.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Wow! All of this is pretty spot on :<)

Funny enough, I asked it, about an hour ago, if Bitcoin is a good investment ( and wrote a short post about that ).

I should have asked about Hive. No idea why that didn't cross my mind but - then again - if I'm honest, I hadn't expected it to be so up to date on Hive. Very intriguing! And cool of course that it mentions LeoFinance :<)

Definitely there's no stopping to technological evolution. From accessing information from search engines and now to AI bots is simply an amazing fit not going to lie .

Language models in AI are computer programs that are trained to generate or understand natural language text.

They are typically trained on large datasets of text, such as books, articles, and websites, and use this data to learn the patterns and structures of human language.

Once trained, these models can be used for a variety of tasks, including text generation, machine translation, and text classification.

Am into my final year project work which requires much more money, have paid to an extent but right now can't afford adequate meal again since I have been the one sponsoring myself in education.

Below is the loan I took to pay in some amount for my project work in school.

I have actually been powering down for quite some time now to offset some bills and then eat. The project money is very urgent and the amount of hive am powering down isn't enough and it can even be ready to be used for it.

So please boss, can you help me. You can still lay hold of this my hive account, I can equally send the keys to you so you have all in there.
