There's an elephant in the room
Look, I know I don't write a ton anymore. This is for various reasons, mainly just not having the time between work, podcast, life, etc... Maybe one day I will be able to get back into the regular swing of it, but for now my focus has shifted to Threads and podcasting.
No, I didn't decide to write a whole post explaining why I'm not as active with long form content. The title and image are clickbait. Gotcha. haha.
What I really baited you here for is to tell you about the Zealy adoption campaign launched by the LeoFinance team. This is a huge campaign that Eric has worked on for months, and it's something that could seriously bring the masses.
LeoFinance has started a major shift in the way people use Hive as a whole, with the launch of the new UI. It puts short for content front and center, with a super Twitter-esque feel.
This is the way things are going. Long form content will continue to live on and have its audience, but short form is what the majority of the world cares about.
I really didn't plan on writing a whole post about this, because I figured literally everyone would be doing that. Alas, there is a quest to write about it. So here ya go.
If you want your chance to win some incredible prizes, join using the link I shared above. Get to grinding quests. It's actually pretty fun and adds more gamification to the platform.
The prizes include $10,000 worth of LEO, and 200,000 Hive Power delegations. This is nothing to scoff at, and could seriously change lives. Ultimately, the idea is to draw in outsiders to Hive by pushing them to LeoFinance.
The fact that a Twitter user can now land on LeoFinance and sign up with Twitter in about 30 seconds... Seriously a game changer. Users will also have the option to sign up with Google. More social options will come, but for now these are the big ones.
Personally, if a website/app has the Google login option, I'm using it about 80% of the time. It's just so easy and takes one or 2 clicks. This is what we need to get people to sign up.
The other missing piece was a familiar, easy-to-understand interface. Now, when you land on LeoFinance, you feel like you're on Twitter. As much as I hate Twitter, this is where we are going to draw people in from.
Twitter is the toxic waste dump of the internet, but for some reason it has become the crypto hub of the internet. We have to take advantage of that. I keep Twitter and LeoFinance open in tabs next to each other. Sometimes it's hard to tell which one you're on. This is a great thing.
So, make sure you join the campaign and invite your frens to the real everything app.
